American Traveler is seeking a travel Home Health Physical Therapist for a travel job in Dunedin, Florida. Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: Physical Therapist, • Discipline: Therapy, • Start Date: ASAP, • Duration: 20 weeks, • 40 hours per week, • Shift: 8 hours, days, • Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview • Shift: Days, 5x8hrs, • Hours: 40 hrs/wk, • Start Date: Mar 23, 2026, • Length: 20 weeks, • Position is based in a home health setting with visits to patients' residences, • Caseload includes cardiopulmonary, geriatric, neuro, ortho, and oncology patients, • Typical day includes 6-8 skilled home visits, with a minimum of 6 points per day, subject to change at management discretion, • Work schedule is day shift, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with every 3rd weekend required, • Documentation is completed using BayCare Forms, BayCare Scheduling, and Ace Timesheet documentation systems, • Uses a laptop, MiFi for internet access, and portable printer for documentation and communication, • Self-scheduling of visits and hours based on the needs of the office, • Locals are eligible at the same rateRequirements, • Active state PT license required if applicable, • Current BLS certification required, • Minimum 2 years of recent home health physical therapy experience required, • OASIS training preferred, • Must have valid driver's license and reliable car for home visits, • Ability to assess and treat cardiopulmonary, neurological, orthopedic, oncology, and geriatric patients, • Experience with home exercise programs, patient and family education, and safe use of rehabilitation equipment, • Must be knowledgeable in recognizing signs and symptoms of physical, sexual, and psychological abuse, • COVID-19 vaccination or exemption form required, • Flu vaccination or declination required, with masking mandated at all times during work if flu shot is declinedAdditional Information, • Responsibilities include home visits for skilled physical therapy assessments and treatments, • Must provide patient and family education, focusing on safety and injury prevention, • Required to document visits and treatments using designated forms and handheld technology, • Solid color scrubs are acceptable attire, • Equipment commonly used includes crutches, gait belts, hospital beds, walkers, slings, sliding boards, collars, and supplemental oxygen With thousands of travel nursing and allied jobs nationwide, our attentive and approachable recruiters find positions that align perfectly with your career aspirations and personal requirements.
