American Traveler is seeking a travel Home Health Occupational Therapist for a travel job in Largo, Florida. Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: Occupational Therapist, • Discipline: Therapy, • Start Date: 01/12/2026, • Duration: 20 weeks, • 40 hours per week, • Shift: 8 hours, days, • Home health position serving adult patients in Pinellas County, • Patients include med/surg, cardiac, orthopedic, post-surgical, COPD, CHF, pneumonia, CVA, neurological, trauma, and more, • Daily caseload typically consists of 6 to 8 skilled home visits, • Work involves ADL training, cardiac rehab, edema massage, feeding, splinting, prosthetics/orthotics, standardized assessments, joint mobilization, and home exercise program management, • Utilizes BayCare Forms, BayCare Scheduling, Ace Timesheet documentation system, • Day shift schedule, 5x8 hour shifts from 8:00 to 17:00, • Cerner charting experience preferred, • Use of laptop, MiFi for internet, and portable printers provided, • Self-scheduling based on HomeCare office needs, • Provide evaluation, care planning, patient/family education, safety and injury prevention for diverse adult home health populations, • Responsibilities include documentation and billing using specialized systems, • Team support provided and interdisciplinary collaboration required, • Day-to-day work includes phone consultation and family training, • Solid color scrubs are required, • No scheduled RTO requests accepted during the contract; time off must be negotiated with the unit manager, • Facility is smoke free, • Allied staff home health modules must be completed pre-start and annually, • Permanent employees must wait at least one year before returning as a traveler, • Travelers may float within the hospital or to affiliate hospitals as needed\n \n Requirements\n, • Active Occupational Therapist state license or compact license required if applicable, • Minimum 1 year of independent home health OT experience required; 2 years preferred, • Current BLS certification required, • Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable car for home visits, • COVID vaccination required or exemption form on file, • Flu vaccination required or declination with mandatory mask use, • OASIS experience preferred, • Ability to pass EKG exam (up to 3 attempts), • Compliance documents due at least 10 days before the start date, • Candidates must reside at least 100 miles from the facility\n Benefits\n, • High Pay and Bonuses, • Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options, • 401(k) Plan, • Weekly Payroll Deposit, • Free Online CEUs, • Generous Housing Allowance, • Travel and Licensure Reimbursements, • Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy With thousands of travel nursing and allied jobs nationwide, our attentive and approachable recruiters find positions that align perfectly with your career aspirations and personal requirements.
