American Traveler is seeking a travel Home Health Physical Therapist for a travel job in Sarasota, Florida. Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: Physical Therapist, • Discipline: Therapy, • Start Date: 12/15/2025, • Duration: 20 weeks, • 40 hours per week, • Shift: 8 hours, days, • Home health setting covering Sarasota and Charlotte County, • Patient population includes med/surg, cardiac, ortho (hips, knees, shoulders), post-surgical, COPD, CHF, pneumonia, CVA, falls, weakness, Parkinson's, failure to thrive, respiratory, neuro, trach, trauma, amputation, and ADL needs, • Home skilled visits consist of 6-8 visits per day with a minimum of 6 points per day; caseload may increase at manager discretion, • Work schedule is day shift, Monday through Friday from 8:00 to 17:00, • 1-2 weekend rotations per contract are required, • Self-scheduling of visits and hours based on office needs, • Use of BayCare Forms, BayCare Scheduling, Ace Timesheet, and Cerner (preferred) charting, • Travelers may float within the hospital or to affiliated hospitals as required, • Responsibilities include evaluating and treating a diverse adult patient population in the home setting, • Patient assessments focus on safety, injury prevention, and developing individualized exercise and recovery plans, • All scheduling is managed by the therapist in collaboration with the office, • Laptop, MiFi for internet, and portable printers are provided, • Must pass a pre-employment EKG exam with up to 3 attempts, • Pre-start and annual modules must be completed as part of onboarding and continuing compliance, • Any solid color scrubs may be worn, • Return travelers must have completed a BayCare contract within the last year and meet specialty-specific rules, • Travelers must live at least 100 miles from the facility to qualify for this role, • Smoking is not allowed within the facility or on its grounds\n \n Requirements\n, • Current FL or compact state PT license required if applicable, • Minimum 1 year of recent home health physical therapy experience required, • BLS certification required, • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle required to make home visits, • COVID-19 vaccination required or valid exemption form must be on file, • Flu vaccination required or declination with mandatory mask use, • Assessment, cardiopulmonary/circulatory, documentation, and billing skills required, • Proficiency operating equipment such as gait belt, rolling walker, sit-to-stand lift, sliding boards, soft/hard collars, supplemental O2, upper extremity prosthetics, and wheelchair assessment, • Knowledge of ortho, neuro, home exercise programs, medication management, patient/family education, and abuse prevention, • OASIS training preferred, • Cerner documentation system experience preferred\n Benefits\n, • High Pay and Bonuses, • Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options, • 401(k) Plan, • Weekly Payroll Deposit, • Free Online CEUs, • Generous Housing Allowance, • Travel and Licensure Reimbursements, • Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy With thousands of travel nursing and allied jobs nationwide, our attentive and approachable recruiters find positions that align perfectly with your career aspirations and personal requirements.
