Job Description Pre-Licensed Mental Health Practitioner (Psychotherapist) at Canopy Mental Health & Consulting (MHC) As a Mental Health Therapist, you will play a key role for providing psychotherapy services for children and adolescents, individual, family, couples, and/or group to a diverse population of clientele using a client-centered and culturally responsive approach based on your area of expertise. Services are provided in an outpatient setting, both in person and telehealth. Canopy's Clinical Manager and receives support from Canopy's Administrative Team Job Details Start Date: (As soon as possible, date) Location: Hybrid with in office expectations at our two locations located at 6625 Lyndale Ave. Richfield and at 615 1st Ave. in Northeast Minneapolis Hiring Salary Range:$60,000 to $69,000 Starting salary will depend on your skills and demonstrated readiness for the role. Hours/Day: Monday-Friday, 40+ hours a week - including evenings and weekends when necessary. Available to offer 2 evenings or 1 weekend per week. Job Type: Full-Time, Salaried, Exempt Clinical Supervision: Supervision available for LGSW candidates and individuals working toward independent licensure as an LPCC or LMFT Essential Job Functions Service Providing • Offer in-person and telehealth psychotherapy sessions, • Participate in two group consultation meetings per month, • Collaborate with other providers, as needed. This could include, but not limited to school social workers, case managers, psychiatry, or other Canopy clinicians, etc.) to ensure appropriate coordination of care for clients, • Refer clients to appropriate levels of care, and/or other medical professionals and services that support their mental health, • Use the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system to maintain and store all necessary documentation and records (Canopy is a paperless company). Canopy currently uses Procentive, • Complete all clinical documentation within a timely manner (Diagnostic Assessments, Treatment Plans, Session Notes, Discharge Summaries, etc.), this also includes submitting claims (billing) using Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, • Complete continuing education and trainings as outlined by licensing board; this also includes completing annual HIPAA Training and Certification (Separate Training Time and Stipend are available to full-time clinicians) Requirements While we have identified specific requirements for this role, we acknowledge that not all candidates may possess every requirement listed. Required Qualifications • Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or closely related field, • Completion of clinical education and internship as required by the graduate program., • Provisionally licensed by the MN Board of Social Work as LGSW, or working towards independent licensure as an LMFT, or LPCC., • Must be eligible to practice psychotherapy in the state of Minnesota, • Must reside in the state of Minnesota, • Basic knowledge of insurance billing process (CPT Codes, Diagnostic ICD Codes, use of Modifiers), • Experience using language skills (Spanish, Hmong, Somali and/or ASL in a professional or community setting)., • Specialized training in a trauma related modality, • Specialized training in working with children, couples, families This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copy machines and filing cabinets. This role must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
