Job DescriptionJob Description Our Display/Delivery Assistants are responsible for the setup of merchandise in Havertys Showrooms. As a Display/Delivery Assistant, you may also have the opportunity to provide our Top Drawer service by delivering furniture to our customers’ homes. As a Display/Delivery Assistant at Havertys, this is your opportunity to: • Keep merchandise on the floor in functional condition, including by ordering parts and repairing when necessary., • Support the moving and arranging of merchandise on the showroom floor., • Provide support on deliveries to customers homes., • When completing the delivery duties, you will perform the necessary functions in a safe and professional manner, by unloading furniture from trucks and placing it within the customer’s home., • Help Display Coordinator with floor moves and processing of new accessories., • Assists Display Coordinator by aiming lighting on furniture and/or accessories., • Responsible for placement of POP material including hanging banners and placing signs., • Assists customers in carrying merchandise to their vehicles., • Help keep the showroom clean by providing light housekeeping support as needed., • Maintain stockroom in an orderly fashion, including sweeping and mopping., • Keep exits lit and free of obstruction. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must frequently push, pull, lift and/or move up to 150 pounds and must be capable of providing delivery assistance and fill in as a delivery assistant as needed. New hires are required to pass a physical assessment to ensure they can perform the essential functions of this job.
