Job Description Electrician Assembly Team Leader 4500 Leeds Avenue, North Charleston, South Carolina, 29405, United States PAY: 40-42 Shift: 6am-4:30pm Monday-Friday (Saturdays) OT INCLUDED Job Summary The Electrician Assembly Team Leader is a hands-on working leader responsible for guiding a team of electricians in the electrical assembly and wiring of manufactured equipment and systems. This role balances active participation on the floor with day-to-day leadership, ensuring electrical assemblies are built safely, accurately, and on schedule to meet production and quality requirements. Primary Job Responsibilities • Lead a team of electricians in hands-on electrical assembly, wiring, and installation of manufactured products, • Actively perform electrical work alongside the team as needed, • Assign daily work, monitor progress, and adjust priorities to meet production schedules, • Read, interpret, and execute work from electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and bills of material, • Ensure assemblies meet engineering specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements, • Troubleshoot electrical and assembly issues and provide technical guidance to team members, • Perform inspections and functional testing of completed electrical assemblies, • Enforce electrical safety practices, lockout/tagout procedures, and company policies, • Coordinate with Engineering, Production, and Quality teams to resolve design or build issues, • Train and mentor electricians and assemblers; support onboarding and skill development, • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area (5S principles), • Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent electrical certification, • 5+ years of experience in electrical assembly or industrial/manufacturing electrical work, • Previous experience as a lead, senior electrician, or supervisor preferred, • Strong ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings, • Working knowledge of NEC, electrical safety standards, and industrial best practices, • Hands-on leadership and team coordination, • Strong communication and coaching skills, • High attention to detail and commitment to build quality, • Ability to manage workflow in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, • Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with tools and test equipment, • Manufacturing/production environment, • Regular standing, bending, lifting, and use of hand and power tools, • Reports to: Electrical Supervisor / Production Manager Raycap, Inc. creates products that protect and support the world’s most valuable assets.
