Overview We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Purchasing and Repair Director to lead our procurement and repair operations, ensuring seamless supply chain management and optimal vendor relationships. Responsibilities • Lead procurement strategy for aircraft parts, engine components, tooling, consumables, and services, • Ensure suppliers meet regulatory, technical, and quality standards consistently, • Oversee purchasing activities to ensure alignment with operational demand and production schedules, • Develop and execute sourcing strategies that optimize cost, quality, and delivery performance, • Negotiate high-value contracts, pricing agreements, and long-term supplier arrangements, • Ensure timely availability of critical materials to support MRO operations and customer commitments, • Champion a strong safety-first culture and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and local authorities, • Direct all external repair operations for aircraft and engine components across approved vendors, • Establish and manage repair strategies that optimize turnaround time, cost, and technical compliance, • Oversee repair order lifecycle, including vendor selection, quoting, approval, tracking, and closure, • Ensure repair work is performed in compliance with OEM, FAA, and EASA requirements, • Manage escalations related to repair delays, technical issues, or non-conformities, • Drive optimization of repair sourcing decisions (repair vs replace analysis), • Develop and maintain a network of approved suppliers and repair vendors, • Oversee vendor qualification, performance monitoring, and periodic evaluations, • Conduct or oversee vendor audits in coordination with Quality Assurance, • Implement corrective actions and performance improvement plans for underperforming vendors, • Identify and mitigate risks related to supplier performance, material availability, and repair delays Experience & Skills • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Aviation Management, or related field (MBA preferred), • 10+ years of experience in procurement within the aviation MRO or aerospace industries, • Strong knowledge of aircraft parts, engine components, and aviation repair processes, • Proven experience managing vendor repairs, sourcing strategies, and supplier networks, • Strong understanding of FAA, EASA, OEM requirements, and aviation traceability standards, • Demonstrated leadership experience managing procurement or supply chain teams, • Strong negotiation, contract management, and commercial acumen, • Experience with ERP/MRO systems (e.g., AvSight or similar platforms), • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, • Ability to manage complex, high-pressure supply chain environments, including AOG situations, • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities
