Job Description Position Summary: Supervises and leads a crew of field employees to complete specified job scopes. Can successfully complete installation from start to finish while upholding all required company values & job tasks including completing the job safely, productivity, documentation and care for our customer. Job Responsibilities: • Provides & demonstrates responsibility for the ongoing safety of one’s crew on the job and while driving to/from sites., • Attends weekly Safety talk meetings., • Discusses Safety on a daily basis with crew while on job site. Completes daily JHA for every job site., • Advises Office ASAP of any safety concerns before proceeding on a job., • Contacts Safety Manager, Superintendent & Operations Manager immediately following any accidents on a job site or while driving., • Oversees and demonstrates responsibility regarding work site productivity; from properly preparing to start a job daily to making optimal use of all tools and materials needed., • Has extensive experience with all scopes specific to division (experience MBW work or industry specific), • Reviews all specifications for job, obtaining clarification from Superintendent where needed., • Plans ahead to ensure all materials, supplies, and equipment are prepared and brought to the job site., • Reports to job site; prepares equipment and material; cleans area to be serviced; maximizes skills of crew to complete job ASAP with highest quality to eliminate call back warranty., • Competent understanding of industry leading materials & manufacturing systems., • Deals with customers and fellow employees in a diplomatic and tactful manner following MBW Values., • Promotes positive relationships; treating people with dignity, respect & compassion., • Deals with customers and fellow employees in a diplomatic and tactful manner following MBW Values., • Promotes positive relationships; treating people with dignity, respect & compassion., • Reviews daily tools & supplies needed for the current daily scheduled jobs., • Leads in helping prepare/load the truck as needed., • Serves as a mentor, training crew on best practices to maximize production in a safe manner while providing career development for members of crew., • Supports field technicians in giving them open and honest feedback relating to their work ethic, skills and improvement areas by task., • Documents all violations of policies &/or areas of improvement, relating to technical skills, safety and work ethic/attendance., • Keeps Superintendent informed of any opportunities or challenges., • Maintains the cleanliness of their company truck, equipment, trailers & tools on a daily basis., • Company truck will be clear of personal meals, drinks, and other materials / garbage at the end of each day., • Company Truck will be returned to office every night with ALL Keys & Tools, unless approval is given to participate in HDP in advance., • Trucks and tools are to be 5S-ed daily – Sort, Shine, Set to Oder, Systematize, & Sustain., • Completes all paperwork on time & daily., • Timecards to be completed daily with accuracy for employees and turned in on time (electronically)., • Production Log to be completed prior to end of shift (before leaving jobsite), photos taken and all submitted at end of shift., • On projects that Dailies are required they must be completed and turned into MBW matching timecard., • Completes JHA’s fully and completely and submits daily., • Completes and documents daily toolbox talks., • Uses all credit cards on a limited exception basis, with approval requested in advance, by making a phone call to office & getting approval from Division Manager &/or Project Manager., • Gas Cards are only to be used for work truck for company business and shall remain in the truck at all times., • Other company issued credit cards will require advance approval before purchase and receipts must be turned in & reconciled monthly by each foreman., • Protects the name of ‘Mark Beamish Waterproofing’ by abiding by the MBW employee handbook policies & Procedures including but not limited to being a professional in action, words & wearing uniform proudly., • Demonstrates customer focus, and being detail-oriented, using problem solving & troubleshooting skills to quickly meet customer requirements in a high quality manner., • Reports to work on timely basis every day as specified by Superintendent and/or Scheduler., • Notifies Superintendent and Scheduler in the event of tardiness and/or absenteeism as outlined in the employee handbook., • May be required to travel, up to 50% of the time., • Completes other tasks as directed by the Superintendent or Scheduler. Education, Experience and Other Requirements: • Trade training through apprenticeships, college, or trade school preferred., • Minimum 6 months of MBW Foreman 2 Level experience required, • Command of English language required, • Possess or be able to obtain a valid and appropriate state driver’s license if driving company vehicle., • OSHA 30 Work Environment and Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. The position regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt. Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The position lifts heavy objects, walks and stands for long periods of time and performs strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions. The employee lifts, pushes, pulls or carries objects; uses abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue; and effectively jumps, sprints or throws objects. The position requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and multi-limb coordination. The position requires the ability to quickly move arms and legs.
