Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) Location: Tulsa, OK Shift: 3x12 Evening (Rotating holidays and weekends) Pay Range: $29.00 – $44.00/hr Sign-On Bonus / Relocation: $5,000 sign-on bonus (if eligible) and $2,500 in relocation assistance Job Summary Pride Health is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician to support a top-tier healthcare organization in Tulsa, OK. You will perform, evaluate, and interpret a variety of diagnostic lab tests, ensure accuracy, maintain lab instruments, validate new testing methods, and support staff training — all while upholding the highest standards of lab safety and quality. Key Responsibilities Specimen Receipt & Processing • Receive, prioritize, and process specimens in a timely manner to meet or exceed turnaround standards, • Verify specimen identification and labeling, • Determine specimen acceptability for analysis, • Identify, resolve, and document discrepancies for quality assurance, • Assist coworkers during high-volume periods, • Review specimen logs for unreceived specimens Blood Bank Responsibilities (BB Only) • Determine if specimen collection is required, • Complete blood component transfusion utilization forms, • Perform and document blood component processing, • Provide platelet and plasma components as requested, • Document special component requirements in TSIS, • Review and confirm recipient and donor information at blood component issue, • Maintain blood component inventory and use efficiently, • Perform patient and component testing per established procedures Testing & Quality • Perform testing according to procedures while maintaining efficiency, • Maintain accuracy and performance under stress, • Demonstrate strong knowledge of technical and instrumental procedures, • Identify abnormal results and repeat tests as needed, • Record testing results and comments efficiently in TSIS, • Report accurate and complete test results Work Environment & Safety • Maintain a clean, organized work area, • Use required PPE and physical barriers, • Work independently with minimal supervision and manage time efficiently Skills & Competencies • Minimum 1 year of related experience with high-complexity testing, • Basic PC skills for data entry and computer use, • Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills, • Excellent organizational skills Education & Certification • Required: Bachelor’s degree in medical technology or related Biological/Chemical Science, • Accredited program graduate: ASCP MLS preferred, • Minimum 1 year of experience Pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials About Pride Health: Pride Health is the healthcare staffing branch of Pride Global, connecting healthcare professionals with top-tier organizations since 2010.
