Ensure on-going operations of Eagle village, including chores, yard care, scheduling and safety procedures: • Maintain an inventory of janitorial and maintenance supplies. Communicate supply needs to the Site Manager., • Conduct weekly inspections of property and arrange needed maintenance and repairs., • Track completion of these responsibilities on the appropriate forms., • Conduct monthly bed bug inspections and document findings., • Attend special event and staff meetings, • Sort and organize incoming donations, • Supervise resident activities at the shelter and maintain resident daily logs, • Provide assistance to case mangers, • Conduct room checks as needed, maintain the overall cleanliness of the Site, • Enforce policies and procedures, adhering to program and CSC guidelines., • Prepare vacant bedrooms for new tenants., • Assist with office support services., • Ensure completion of daily chores and weekly deep-clean chores., • Provide instruction to residents when necessary., • Issue and enforce consequences when necessary for noncompliant residents., • Ensure residents who are on sobriety or mental health compliance plans are successfully completing those plans Support resident safety by responding appropriately to emergencies, reporting hazards or incidents promptly, and modeling safe practices in alignment with agency policies and trauma-informed care principles. Completion of all safety-related trainings. May be asked to participate in safety meetings. * Other duties and/or special projects as assigned. Proven Experience: • Excellent communication skills, • Comfortable with computers and teaching other to use computers, • Ability to handle complaints/conflicts in a calm and professional manner, • Experience working with homeless and/or low-income population is preferred, • Must have a strong understanding of historical and intergenerational trauma among Indigenous communities, • Strong crisis intervention skills with ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks under stressful conditions, • CPR & AED first aid certification, • Formal professional de-escalation training, • Most positions at CSC are exposed to members of the community who have experienced or are experiencing trauma in various forms including but not limited to: domestic violence, sexual violence, homelessness, unemployment, financial hardship, etc. As a result, staff is at risk of secondary trauma. Seattle Childrens has multiple summer internship openings available in a variety of non-clinical departments across the organization. Internships will be offered in a hybrid work format and will occur over a period of up to 10 weeks beginning in June and ending in August. Interns will work up to 40 hours per week. Job Description Position Purpose The Reliance Administrator works under the general direction of the Reliance Team Lead Operations (R-TOL) to support the review of multi-site and collaborative research trials where the UW is serving as the reviewing IRB. Position Complexities The IRB Reliance Administrator must understand many complex regulatory and ethical issues and how they apply to UW research. The position requires balancing the need to assure the UWs compliance with state laws and several different sets of federal regulations with the need to facilitate research and with ethical considerations. This requires high-quality independent conceptual thinking that is aligned with the general perspective of HSD analysis and problem-solving. Daily work involves making judgment calls in ambiguous situations and applying a multi-faceted understanding of the concepts of risk and engagement. Daily contact with researchers requires diplomatic professional and timely interactions based on concise accurate and intelligible communication that must usually be documented in writing. Housing & Food Services supports over 10000 student residents and operates 40 dining locations on campus.
