Job Description This position will support all Quality and Food Safety activities related to maintaining DePalo Foods. Hands-on, high-impact plant-floor role responsible for maintaining and executing DePalo Foods’ SQF, USDA, Organic, HACCP, and Preventive Controls programs. This is the primary “boots-on-the-ground” position that keeps the plant in daily compliance and audit-ready 365 days a year. **Key Responsibilities (Daily Critical Duties) • Perform in-process inspections, testing, pre-op inspections, changeover verifications, and direct observation of all CCPs, • Monitor, enforce, and document GMPs, SSOPs, HACCP, Allergen, Organic, and Food Defense programs in real time, • Review and sign off on all production, sanitation, and quality records every shift; correct deviations immediately, • Conduct plant walk-throughs multiple times per shift and drive immediate corrective actions, • Lead training for production employees on HACCP, GMP, Food Safety, Allergen, and Organic requirements, • Maintain the SQF system (document control, internal audits, mock recalls, management of change), • Support third-party audits (SQF, USDA, Organic, customer audits) and continuous improvement projects, • Use Genesis database software daily for record keeping, trend analysis, and reporting Required Qualifications & Certifications (Must Have) • PCQI (Preventive Controls Qualified Individual) – Current FSPCA certificate, • SQF Practitioner or BRCGS Professional (active certification required), • HACCP certified + FSPCA Preventive Controls trained, • ASQ Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) or Certified Food Safety & Quality Auditor (CFSQA) preferred, • 5+ years minimum hands-on Quality Assurance/Food Safety experience in USDA-regulated food manufacturing, • Expert knowledge of SQF, USDA HACCP, Organic (NOP), GMPs, Allergen Control, Pest Control, Sanitation, and Food Defense, • Experience using Genesis SQL food safety software (or similar ERP/QA module), • Excellent English (written and spoken) – Spanish is a strong plus, • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint Salary: Based on experience Company DescriptionAs a manufacturer of Italian savory goods, DePalo Foods believes in connecting families through the food they eat at home.
