Regional Clinical Manager - Nurse Practitioner

Job Description Position Overview: The Regional Clinical Manager is responsible for overseeing the clinical operations, quality assurance, and performance of nursing staff across multiple facilities within an assigned region. This role ensures high standards of patient care, regulatory compliance, staff training, and clinical documentation. The Regional Clinical Manager acts as a liaison between corporate leadership and facility-based teams, supporting alignment with the company's clinical protocols, strategic goals, and quality initiatives. This position requires strong leadership, sound clinical judgment, and an ability to collaborate across interdisciplinary teams to drive outcomes and operational excellence. The Regional Nurse Manager must work effectively with staff, providers, and facility partners by demonstrating professionalism, clear communication, initiative, and teamwork. This individual supports the mission and values and plays a vital role in maintaining consistency, compliance, and continuity of care throughout the region. The requirements listed below are representative, but not all inclusive, of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. • Regional Oversight: Provide clinical leadership and support to assigned facilities, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements., • Staff Support & Supervision: Serve as a resource and mentor to Nurse Practitioners, RNs, LPN/LVNs, and support staff, • Training: Assist with onboarding, training, and performance evaluation., • Quality Assurance: Monitor clinical documentation, treatment planning, and outcomes to ensure compliance with evidence-based practices, CMS regulations, and organizational standards., • Clinical Rounds Oversight: Create, review, and update provider rounding schedules to ensure timely and complete care delivery., • Audit & Compliance: Conduct regular chart audits, quality checks, and facility visits to ensure adherence to internal protocols and industry regulations., • Problem Resolution: Address clinical escalations, performance issues, and patient concerns in a timely and professional manner., • Policy Implementation: Disseminate and implement updated policies and procedures, providing education and ensuring adoption across teams., • Coordination with Facility Leadership: Partner with facility DONs, administrators, and interdisciplinary teams to address trends, coordinate care, and identify improvement opportunities., • Direct Patient Care: Provide direct patient care within facilities per business needs Communication and Collaboration: • Interdisciplinary Teamwork: Collaborate with internal departments such as Intake, Billing, Credentialing, Scheduling, and Onboarding to ensure continuity and efficiency in patient care delivery., • Clinical Updates: Communicate regional trends and needs to the VP of Clinical Services and make data-driven recommendations for staffing and operations., • Provider Liaison: Act as the bridge between field-based providers and corporate leadership to ensure smooth communication, ongoing support, and alignment with goals., • Staff Development: Identify skill gaps and facilitate continuing education and clinical training opportunities. Documentation and Quality Improvement: • EMR Review & Support: Audit EMR documentation for accuracy and timeliness; ensure all staff are trained and proficient in EMR usage., • Performance Metrics: Track, report, and improve KPIs including patient outcomes, documentation compliance, and provider productivity., • Incident Response: Participate in investigation and resolution of clinical incidents, complaints, and adverse events., • Clinical Improvement Plans: Lead or participate in regional quality improvement initiatives focused on elevating care and service standards. Qualification Guidelines: Experience/Training/Education - Required: • Current Nurse Practitioner (NP) license in good standing in the applicable state(s)., • National board certification, • Minimum 3 years of nursing leadership experience, preferably in SNF, LTAC, ALF, or post-acute settings., • Experience managing clinical staff and coordinating multi-site care delivery. Experience/Training/Education - Desirable: • Certification or Degree in Healthcare Administration., • Wound care certification (e.g., WCC, CWS) or clinical wound experience is a plus., • Familiarity with PointClickCare and Wound Expert platforms. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: • Strong leadership and team-building capabilities., • Excellent verbal and written communication skills., • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and EMR systems., • Ability to analyze clinical data and operational trends to inform decision-making., • Sound knowledge of healthcare regulations, standards of care, and documentation practices., • High level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion. Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. • Regularly required to sit, use hands, speak clearly, hear effectively, and see computer screens or paper records., • Frequently required to travel to regional sites, stand, walk, and bend., • Must be able to lift or move up to 15 pounds occasionally., • Requires regular driving and possible air travel. Work Environment: • This role is primarily field-based, with regular travel to healthcare facilities within the assigned region., • May occasionally be required to work evenings or weekends based on clinical needs or emergencies.
