Job Description Moonshot edVentures - Manager, Program & Operations Position Title: Program & Operations Manager Location: Metro Denver Salary Range: $60,000 - $70,000 ABOUT US Founded in 2017, Moonshot edVentures is recognized nationally as a model for a place-based, culturally responsive approach to identifying a diverse pipeline of educators and accelerating them to found and/or lead schools and programs that are co-created with students and families most on the margins in education. As one of the only organizations designed to develop and support BIPOC and LGBTQ+ educational leaders in the Rocky Mountain region, Moonshot is currently training our sixth cohort of Fellows, running several alumni programs, and continuing to grow our alumni network and services. To date Moonshot’s successes include: • 110+ leaders in our alumni network, 86% BIPOC and 65% women or non-binary, • 35 new schools or educational programs that center the needs of students and families of color You can learn about our programs on our website. THE OPPORTUNITY Moonshot seeks a Manager of Program and Operations who will… Success in this role includes… • Building recruitment systems and cultivating a diverse cohort of Fellows each year, • Providing seamless operations and logistical support as part of Moonshot’s high-quality programming, • Consistently maintains efficient systems for program operations (e.g. evaluation, vendor coordination, etc.), • Flexible and collaborative in their approach with an instinct to deeply understand others’ perspectives in order to provide high-quality support, • A detail-oriented and reliable project manager with consistent follow-through, • An entrepreneurial learner who is proactive and takes initiative, • High capacity and ability to efficiently and effectively manage multiple multifaceted workstreams, • Proven ability to consistently and independently deliver high-quality products and outputs; someone who takes pride in their work and contributions, • A strong foundational understanding and lens of equity, inclusion, and disrupting systems of oppression RESPONSIBILITIES The primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following: [70%] Program Operations, Communications & Project Management • Manages the operations and logistics for all Moonshot programs, including Fellowship, Residencies, and alumni, and ensures operations are consistent, responsive, and high-quality, • Provides project management from planning through execution for Fellowship and Alumni Events, including file and knowledge management, deliverable tracking, and task management, • Creates and manages internal communications with Fellows and Residents and external communications with partners, speakers, facilitators, and contractors, • Manages and leads all program event planning, including Showcase, alumni events, and local and national Fellow and/or Resident retreats. This includes:, • Project management and team delegation, • Vendor research, selection, and management, • Booking travel and venue reservations, • Creating agendas and logistics memos and managing all on-the-ground operations, • Volunteer delegation and management, • Supports development, tracking, and reporting of program impact metrics and stories, • Manages the exit ticket process for Fellowship and Residency, including grading and follow-up, • Maintains program dashboards, including data synthesis, entry, and analysis, • Collect relevant programmatic data in collaboration with the Program Team, • Serves as a knowledgeable and passionate resource in support of Fellows, Residents, and alumni, • Develops and sustains relationships with program participants, speakers, guests, and partners, providing excellent customer service, • Design and manage the recruitment, application, and selection processes for upcoming Moonshot Fellowship cohorts, • Manage a Selection Committee of former Fellows and Moonshot staff, • Conduct and present ongoing data analysis to staff and adjust recruitment, application, and selection processes according to insights drawn from data, • Present final recommendations for cohort selection, • Source and recruit a diverse applicant pool for the Moonshot Fellowship, including developing and sustaining partnerships for new recruitment sources, • Design and manage the onboarding process for Fellows, including asynchronous content, registration forms, and tuition payment, to ensure a strong and aligned entry point into the Fellowship, • Attend weekly team meetings and manager check-ins, quarterly step backs and an annual retreat; complete team-wide responsibilities and asks as needed (e.g. providing input for strategic planning), • Work to achieve meaningful outcomes, contribute to building a strong team and culture, and commit to own learning + development aligned to Moonshot Core Values Full-time COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: • Fair Wages: The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $70,000., • Excellent Benefits: We offer unlimited paid time off, 27 holidays, a 401k matching plan, short and long-term disability, medical and dental coverage (90% employee & 60% dependents), and a yearly wellness fund., • Commitment to Staff Learning and Development: We believe people are our most precious resource, and dedicate time, resources, and capacity towards the learning and development of each staff member.
