Office Details: The Tax Coordinator will be expected to office out of San Francisco office 3 days a week. Target Pay: $95,000 - $105,000 per year + annual discretionary bonus Role Overview: As a Tax Coordinator at Prime Residential, you will play a critical role in optimizing and maintaining our tax operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance. In this role, the Tax Coordinator will have access to confidential financial documents and being meticulously aware of confidentiality is a must to succeed in this role. Having a keen sense of urgency, initiative, and drive will allow the Tax Coordinator to effectively prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment of frequent change and ambiguity, • A service oriented, can-do partner with a positive attitude., • A resourceful, tech-savvy, and nimble associate with a strong sense of commitment to excellence and meeting goals., • Assist in preparing tax payments (FTB tax, OR tax, withheld tax) and estimated tax payments, • Assist in reviewing federal and state tax returns prepared by external providers, • Assist in preparing the taxable income estimates for various partnership entities, • Assist in responding to various IRS and state tax notices received from tax authorities, • Assist in performing research on various state and local tax issues, • Assist in client services with Investor tax issues, including questions regarding K-1s and tax basis, • Prepare capital expenditure analysis for tax purposes, • Work with internal and external accounting and operational professionals to obtain and collate the information required in connection with the preparation of tax returns, • Collaborate with Tax Manager and Accounting team to accomplish various assignments, • Assist in distribution of the K-1 schedule to investors, • Assist in preparation of CA Form 592 and distribution to investors, • Oversee workflow status of tax returns and deliverables, • Maintain investor data up to date in all systems, • Draft replies to low complexity tax authority correspondence; deal with telephone-based requests from tax authorities, • Document Management – Scan, file and maintain documents in electronic filing systems, • Assist in mailing tax returns, tax payments and tax notice correspondence documents via FedEx, USPS, etc., • Assist in ad-hoc projects Requirements:, • BA/BS in Accounting or related field, • 2+ years of accounting, business administration and/or real estate experience, • Advanced MS Office skills, specifically excel, and other property management software abilities, • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, • Generous Benefits: Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and RX plans., • PTO: Standard PTO plus 11 company holidays, 2 floating holidays, 1 birthday day-off, and 1 volunteer day-off., • Retirement: 401k match up to 4%., • Career Growth: Prime Academy provides various development opportunities by position including foundational skills, technical skills, leadership essentials, and more., • Education: Tuition reimbursement for continuous learning. Individual compensation is based on various factors, including experience, education, skillset, and geographic location. The specified range is reflective of the intended regional labor market. PLEASE NOTE: To promote equity and uphold our internal compensation standards, the target base and bonus for this position are non-negotiable. Additionally, job postings reflect 90-100% of the job value. Job value refers to the company’s internal estimate of a role’s worth based on research and pay practices, and acts as a guide for setting fair and consistent compensation. Internal candidates promoted into a new role can expect to receive an offer at 90% of the job value. This allows room for growth while developing in a new role.
