The Director of Total Rewards at Maverick Power is a hands-on, strategic HR leader responsible for building and scaling compensation, benefits, and rewards programs in a fast-growing organization. This role partners closely with the VP of HR and Senior Leadership Team to design competitive, equitable, and compliant total rewards strategies that attract, retain, and engage employees while aligning with business objectives, financial priorities, and company values. Key Responsibilities: • Build & Scale Total Rewards, • Design and evolve a total rewards program that supports growth, including compensation structures, incentive plans, benefits, and recognition programs., • Balance speed, consistency, and equity while scaling rewards programs across a growing workforce., • Ensure rewards strategies align with business priorities, financial realities, and company culture., • Compensation Leadership, • Own day-to-day and strategic compensation activities, including job architecture, market pricing, salary bands, incentives, and pay equity., • Design and oversee base pay (hourly and salaried) and variable pay programs, including bonuses and commissions aligned to performance and business goals., • Partner with Finance and senior leaders on annual and off-cycle compensation planning in a high-growth environment., • Provide clear guidance to leaders on compensation decisions during periods of rapid hiring and change., • Benefits & Employee Experience, • Lead benefits strategy and administration with a focus on competitive offerings, cost management, and employee experience., • Lead comprehensive benefits offerings including healthcare and insurance plans, wellness programs, retirement and savings plans, stock-based programs, and paid time off., • Support employee wellbeing and growth through family and parental leave programs, tuition reimbursement, and service and performance recognition awards., • Continuously assess and refine benefits to meet the needs of growing and evolving workforce., • Manage vendor relationships and ensure smooth execution during growth and change., • HRIS Implementation & Optimization (Paylocity), • Support the implementation, integration, and optimization of Paylocity, with a strong emphasis on compensation, benefits, and rewards functionality., • Build scalable processes, reporting, and controls to ensure data accuracy and system adoption., • Use HRIS data and insights to support leadership decision-making and workforce planning., • Senior Leadership Partnership, • Act as a trusted advisor to the VP of HR and Senior Leadership Team on total rewards and broader people strategy., • Support leaders in understanding, communicating, and applying rewards programs consistently., • Contribute as a broader HR leader, helping shape policies, leadership practices, and change initiatives as the company scales., • Compliance & Risk Management, • Ensure all compensation and benefits programs comply with applicable laws and regulations., • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or a related field., • Minimum of 10 years of progressive HR experience with deep expertise in compensation and total rewards., • Proven experience building or scaling total rewards programs in a high-growth organization., • Strong knowledge of compensation structures, incentive design, and benefits administration., • Hands-on experience implementing or managing Paylocity or similar HRIS platforms., • Demonstrated ability to partner with executive leadership and influence decision-making., • Strong analytical, financial, and data interpretation skills., • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex rewards concepts clearly., • Master’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field., • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. May work in various settings at the Maverick Power facilities, in offices, in multiple shops, and in commercial buildings. Maintaining the same position or posture while performing tasks and sitting for prolonged periods.
