They ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards. The role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and the ability to manage crews and subcontractors effectively. Specific Responsibilities: Safety • Promote and enforce a strong safety culture across all assigned projects., • Ensure all field personnel follow OSHA regulations and company safety policies., • Monitor jobsite conditions to maintain safe working environments., • Participate in safety planning, toolbox talks, and job hazard analysis reviews., • Lead or assist with incident investigations and corrective action plans., • Ensure proper documentation and reporting of safety incidents and near misses., • Provide leadership and direction to General Foremen, Foremen, and field crews., • Support workforce planning, crew assignments, and manpower adjustments., • Mentor and develop field leadership including Foremen and apprentices., • Maintain clear expectations for safety, productivity, and workmanship., • Promote teamwork, accountability, and a professional jobsite culture., • Review project plans, specifications, and schedules to ensure proper execution of work., • Coordinate with project managers to develop and maintain project schedules., • Plan manpower, equipment, and material needs for all phases of construction., • Identify and resolve potential scheduling conflicts with other trades., • Ensure work activities align with overall project timelines and production goals., • Monitor project progress and adjust resources as necessary to maintain schedule., • Ensure all electrical installations meet project specifications, codes, and quality standards., • Review drawings, blueprints, and scope requirements with field supervisors., • Conduct jobsite inspections to verify quality and workmanship., • Address deficiencies and implement corrective actions when needed., • Serve as the primary field liaison between project management and field crews., • Coordinate with general contractors, subcontractors, and other trades on project execution., • Participate in project meetings to communicate progress, challenges, and solutions., • Resolve jobsite issues that impact production, safety, or schedule., • Review and approve daily reports from foremen and field supervisors., • Monitor project productivity, manpower usage, and labor costs., • Assist with project forecasting, planning, and reporting., • Maintain documentation related to progress, delays, and field changes., • Support project managers with project reporting and coordination., • Ensure accurate timekeeping and documentation from field personnel., • Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership. Travel Requirements: <= 25% (may vary significantly among individuals in this position) Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience • High school diploma or equivalent required., • Completion of an electrical apprenticeship program or equivalent field experience., • Master Electrician or Journeyman Electrician License (preferred or required depending on jurisdiction)., • Extensive experience in commercial or industrial electrical construction., • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and construction practices., • Thorough understanding of OSHA regulations and jobsite safety requirements., • Proven leadership experience supervising multiple crews and projects., • Strong planning, scheduling, and organizational skills., • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and contracts., • Effective communication and conflict resolution skills., • Proficiency with construction documentation, reporting, and basic computer applications. Supervisory Responsibility This position directly supervises multiple foremen and field crews. Responsibilities include directing work activities, coordinating manpower, evaluating performance, supporting hiring decisions, and ensuring compliance with company policies and safety standards. FLSA Classification: Non-exempt Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is frequently exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. This position is frequently performed in outside weather conditions. Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and perform repetitive tasks such as bending, stretching, pulling, crawling, climbing, and digging. The employee must have the ability to lift, push, pull, and move moderately heavy tools and equipment related to the trade. The employee must frequently lift or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds. The employee must be able to work at elevated heights, small confined spaces, and various weather conditions. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., 40 hours per week.Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
