Hybrid: In-office Tuesday / Wednesday Role Overview At MediaAlpha, the Manager, People Operations is a strategic partner and culture champion focused on building an engaged, high-performing, and values-driven organization. This role leads high-impact people initiatives across team member engagement, performance management, learning and development, and HR business partnership. Key responsibilities include supporting leaders and teams through performance cycles, driving engagement and pulse surveys, coordinating training programs, and executing broader people strategies that enhance the team member experience. The role also assists in planning and delivering company events such as All Hands Weeks and milestone celebrations that foster connection and culture. This role is ideal for someone who is curious, adaptable, and solutions-oriented. The ideal candidate brings a forward-thinking mindset to HR, challenges the status quo, and is comfortable experimenting and iterating in pursuit of better ways to support people and teams. Responsibilities HR Business Partnership • Act as a consultative partner to leaders, helping them navigate organizational changes, team effectiveness, and team member relations with empathy and sound judgment., • Provide thought partnership on org design, role scoping, and workforce planning., • Manage and continuously improve the full performance review cycle including timeline coordination, system readiness, calibration, and manager enablement., • Track key milestones, audit competencies, and refine career paths to ensure clarity and consistency., • Contribute to the planning and smooth delivery of engagement initiatives such as All Hands Weeks and virtual or in-person milestone events that strengthen connection and culture., • Support the administration and analysis of engagement and pulse surveys, partner with leaders on action planning, and ensure outcomes are carried forward., • Collaborate on the design of training content and enablement resources for team members and managers., • Coordinate and support execution of learning programs and internal workshops., • Maintain and evolve HR documentation in Confluence related to policies, processes, and program updates., • Contribute to strategic people initiatives, including goal-setting frameworks, onboarding improvements, and internal communications., • Partner with Finance and HR leadership to support compensation cycles and planning processes. Requirements • 5 to 7 years of HR or people operations experience, with exposure to areas such as performance management, engagement, and learning programs, • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively about people and organizational opprtunities, • Demonstrated curiosity and willingness to take smart risks and try new approaches to improve the team member experience, • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and iterating quickly in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, • Experience coaching team members and leaders and partnering across levels and functions, • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to translate strategy into action, • Proficiency with HR tools and systems such as Namely, Workday, Greenhouse, CultureAmp, Lattice, and Confluence, • Curious, collaborative, and deeply committed to team member success., • Known for high integrity, strong follow-through, and empathy-driven approach, • Passion for cultivating culture and enhancing the team member experience at every stage., • Experience working in a startup or smaller company environment, with the ability to balance strategic thinking and hands-on execution. Compensation & Benefits We are excited to offer a competitive base pay range of $90,000 to $140,000 per year for this position, based on experience and qualifications.
