As an Owner Operator, you will be the backbone of our logistics operations, responsible for safely and efficiently transporting freight across various routes of your choosing. This role offers the opportunity to leverage your driving expertise, operate your own vehicle, and enjoy the independence of managing your own schedule. Your dedication will ensure timely deliveries, uphold safety standards, and contribute to the seamless flow of goods for our clients. Responsibilities • Safely operate your own vehicle equipped with a valid license and personal equipment such as PPE to transport freight over long or short distances., • Plan routes effectively to optimize delivery times while adhering to all safety and traffic regulations., • Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of your vehicle to ensure it is in optimal condition., • Manage all necessary documentation, including delivery manifests, bills of lading, and logbooks, accurately recording driving hours and cargo details., • Communicate proactively with dispatchers and update teams regarding delivery schedules, delays, or issues encountered on the road., • Maintain compliance with federal and state transportation laws, including hours-of-service regulations and safety standards., • Perform routine vehicle maintenance or coordinate repairs to minimize downtime and ensure safety on the road. Requirements • Experience as an owner operator or commercial driver with a strong understanding of freight transportation logistics., • Ability to operate commercial vehicles confidently and safely across diverse routes and terrains., • Excellent time management skills with the ability to plan routes efficiently and meet delivery deadlines., • Strong communication skills for coordinating with dispatchers and regulatory authorities., • Honest communication between Dispatchers regarding specific requirements for each load., • Knowledge of federal Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and safety protocols., • Ability to perform basic vehicle inspections and troubleshoot common mechanical issues or coordinate repairs as needed.
