Job Title: AI Engineer Location: Leeds, West Yorkshire/Hybrid Salary: £70,000 - £90,000 per annum + benefits Why Apply? This permanent, Full time AI Engineer role offers the opportunity to shape production-grade AI solutions in real-world environments, not just proofs of concept. AI Engineer Responsibilities • Own and evolve a production-ready AI platform, • Design and deliver AI-powered client solutions, including RAG pipelines, agent architectures, LLM integrations, and protocol-driven tooling, • Build scalable AI systems using modern software engineering best practice (clean code, testing, CI/CD), • Develop internal AI tooling to accelerate engineering delivery, • Lead advanced AI knowledge-sharing sessions within internal upskilling initiatives, • Evaluate emerging AI frameworks, protocols, and tooling Essential: • Strong software engineering foundations with a production mindset, • Proven hands-on experience with Large Language Models (LLMs), including API integrations, prompt engineering, agent workflows, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems, • Experience shipping AI-powered features into production environments, • Proficiency in at least two modern programming languages, • Familiarity with emerging AI tooling (eg MCP, A2A, Threads or similar), • Experience with vector databases, embeddings, or model fine-tuning, • Cloud platform experience (AWS preferred) What's in it for me? • Permanent, Full time AI Engineer role, • Competitive salary (£70,000 - £90,000), • Hybrid working model with remote flexibility, • Private healthcare, • Professional development and funded learning, • Exposure to cutting-edge AI engineering projects We are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from all suitably qualified persons regardless of their race, sex, disability, religion/belief, sexual orientation or age.
