THE ROLE: As a Gardener you will play a vital role in ensuring the upkeep and presentation of all our outdoor spaces. You will be working as part of a team to deliver best horticultural practises wherever possible. KEY RESPONSIBILITES: • Mowing: Ensure lawns are mowed and maintained to required standards., • Shrub and Border Maintenance: Maintain shrubs and herbaceous borders to specified standards., • Turf and Leaf Maintenance: Manage turf maintenance including dew removal, debris clearance, reseeding, and watering, especially in summer., • Seasonal Bedding: Prepare and maintain seasonal bedding, pot plants, and weed control., • Gravel Path Maintenance: Level, rake, and repair gravel paths as needed., • Litter Management: Ensure the site is free of rubbish and waste., • Hedge and Trimming Maintenance: Trim hedge lines, tree bases, and maintain precise edging., • Fruit, Tree, Wall, and Vine Maintenance: Thin fruit, water, and harvest as required., • Water Courses/Ponds/Waterfalls: Control Pond weed and preserve water features., • Woodland Maintenance: Maintain woodlands to required standards., • Non-Specific Areas: Maintain gravel drives, clear and clean inflatables like bouncy castles., • Any tasks or responsibilities as requested by management within the scope of the position.     About the Role We are looking for compassionate, resilient, and dedicated Support Workers to join our residential childcare team in Slough. You will be working with high-risk young people aged 11–17 who have experienced trauma, abuse, neglect, or placement breakdowns. Our focus is on providing a safe, stable, and nurturing environment that promotes positive outcomes and long-term change. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in helping young people build trust, develop life skills, and achieve their potential through consistency, care, and positive role modelling. Location: Slough, Berkshire Key Responsibilities: Provide day-to-day care and emotional support to children and young people within the home. Build trusting relationships to support young people in making positive choices and managing challenging behaviours. Implement individual care and behaviour management plans. Promote independence through life skills activities such as cooking, budgeting, and education engagement. Carry out domestic duties within the home, involving the children and young people where appropriate and plan, shop and prepare meals, ensuring they have a varied and well balanced diet. Support young people in attending school, appointments, and community activities. Maintain accurate and detailed daily records, reports, and incident logs in line with Ofsted and safeguarding requirements. Work collaboratively with colleagues, social workers, therapists, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for each young person. Safeguard the welfare of all young people in line with policies and procedures. Participate in training, supervision, and team meetings to continually develop practice. Requirements: Previous experience working with children or young people in a residential, education, or youth work community setting (essential). Understanding of trauma-informed practice, attachment, and safeguarding principles. Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage challenging behaviour professionally. Strong communication, empathy, and teamwork skills. Flexibility to work shifts (evenings and sleep-wakes), including weekends and bank holidays. Must be at least 21 years old. Desirable: Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) or willingness to work towards it. Enhanced DBS check required.
