Master Data Managerment (MDM) Lead Location: Leicester (Hybrid, typically 2–3 days in office) About the Company The business are a fast-growing, private equity-backed international group operating across a highly technical, regulated services sector. Since its formation, the business has grown rapidly through organic growth and acquisitions, building a diverse portfolio of specialist businesses serving a global client base. Despite their scale, they retain an entrepreneurial, decentralised culture, giving operating companies autonomy while increasingly driving group-wide consistency through systems, processes, and shared services. As part of this journey, the group are investing heavily in their Group Business Services function, including the rollout of NetSuite ERP and the expansion of a centralised Shared Service Centre in Leicester. This transformation is creating exciting opportunities to build best-in-class data, finance, and operational processes from the ground up. The Opportunity We’re looking for a hands-on MDM Lead to take ownership of master data governance across the Group. This is a high-impact role, combining technical data expertise with governance, process design, and stakeholder engagement. You’ll play a critical role in stabilising and improving data quality post-ERP implementation, while building scalable frameworks to support ongoing growth and acquisitions. What You’ll Be Doing • Develop and implement a data governance framework aligned to NetSuite, • Own data quality, cleansing, and standardisation, including legacy data remediation, • Manage customer, vendor, and service master data, ensuring consistency across the Group, • Introduce controls and validation mechanisms to prevent poor data entry, • Support the onboarding of acquisitions, ensuring consistent data structures, • Drive process improvement and standardisation across operating companies, • Provide reporting and visibility on data accuracy, volumes, and issues, • Train and support stakeholders across Finance, Procurement, and Sales, • Act as a NetSuite master data super-user, performing uploads, mass updates, and troubleshooting errors, • Monitor data integrations across systems and resolve inconsistencies What Success Looks Like • Data accuracy and consistency improved, • Clear visibility of data volumes, errors, and root causes, • Reduced duplication and manual intervention, • Scalable frameworks supporting ongoing acquisitions, • Strong adoption of governance processes across the business About You Essential: • Strong experience in Master Data Management within ERP environments (NetSuite highly desirable), • Proven ability to design and implement data governance frameworks, • Hands-on capability with data manipulation, uploads, and troubleshooting, • Experience in shared services or centralised environments, • Strong process improvement and change mindset, • Advanced NetSuite expertise (CSV imports, mass updates, saved searches), • Experience in multi-entity or PE-backed environments, • Understanding of how master data supports PTP, OTC, and RTR processes, • Strong stakeholder engagement and training capability Why Join? • Opportunity to shape data governance from the ground up, • Play a key role in a major ERP and business transformation, • Join a high-growth, acquisitive, PE-backed organisation, • Be part of a collaborative and evolving shared services function The Challenge This role offers the opportunity to solve complex data challenges, from transitioning decentralised data structures to standardised frameworks, to balancing governance with operational flexibility, all within a fast-paced, acquisitive environment.
