As a Housing and Wellbeing Advisor, you’ll play an important part in helping customers feel secure in their homes, overcome challenges, and build confidence for the future. What is great about the role? As a Housing and Wellbeing Advisor, you will make a real difference every day. You will: • Work directly with customers to empower them to improve their housing stability, wellbeing and connection with appropriate services., • Use a compassionate, person-centred approach to help people overcome challenges such as home conditions, financial pressures, or accessing support., • Build strong relationships with customers, colleagues, and partners to create positive and lasting outcomes., • Shape and deliver projects that improve wellbeing, promote healthy homes, sustainable occupancies and strengthen communities. Where does this role fit in? You will work within our Customer & Community team and report to the Wellbeing Manager. You will: • Work closely with Neighbourhood Housing, Community Safety, Income, Repairs, and other teams., • Be a key link between customers and different services, helping everyone work together smoothly., • Partner with external organisations such as health services, support agencies, and community groups. Although the role is flexible, it is not home-based. You will spend most of your time in local communities and visiting customers in their homes. You are an important part of how we support customers to feel safe, secure, and connected. What skills and experience do you need? We’re looking for someone who has experience supporting people in housing, wellbeing, or community settings, and who is confident building trusted relationships with individuals who may be vulnerable or facing barriers. You will need to be comfortable working with partner agencies, managing a varied workload, communicating with empathy, and using digital tools to record information and stay organised. An understanding of trauma-informed approaches, safeguarding responsibilities, and the factors that impact someone’s ability to sustain their home is important. A good level of literacy and numeracy, along with a full driving licence and access to a car for business use, is required. What are the pay and benefits? Time off and Flexibility • Based in Cardiff with regular travel in Cardiff and surrounding Local Authorities. Meetings may be held at our Cardiff, Newport or Swansea offices., • Working days are predominately Wednesday, Thursday and Friday., • 26 days holiday (pro rata), plus Bank holidays. Rising to 31 days with an extra day for each full year of service., • Maternity & Adoption Leave: 20 weeks, • Paternity Leave: 3 weeks Money and Pensions • The exact salary is £ 20,687 for a 22.5 hour, part time, permanent position, • 45p per mile for mileage allowance, • Pension Choices: Defined Contribution (DC) Scheme with matched contributions up to 10%. Or, Defined Benefit (DB) 1/80th of final salary for every year of service., • The successful candidate will need a basic DBS check in place, which we pay for., • 3 x Life Cover linked to pension membership, • Saving scheme with competitive interest rate, • Give As You Earn scheme for tax efficient charity donations, • From 1st April 2026 the option to be either weekly or monthly paid.
