Due to the increasing range of exciting placemaking and regeneration projects to be taken forward, we are seeking a Project Manager (Place) to help develop and deliver neighbourhood placemaking plans and related capital projects. You will work collaboratively with residents, community groups, businesses and stakeholders to ensure plans reflect local needs, aspirations and lived experience. You will take a lead role in developing design briefs, feasibility studies, scheme options and engagement approaches, and in managing the delivery of complex, diverse and multi-disciplinary capital projects to agreed standards of quality, programme and cost. The successful candidate will have a degree, high-level qualification or equivalent level of experience in urban design, architecture, landscape architecture, planning, regeneration or a related built-environment discipline. You will have demonstrable experience of urban design, placemaking, regeneration or built-environment projects, including developing spatial strategies, design briefs, feasibility studies and concept designs. You will understand placemaking principles, inclusive and sustainable design, and the role of public realm in supporting wellbeing. You will have experience leading or supporting co-design and community engagement processes, with the ability to work sensitively and collaboratively with diverse communities. You will have excellent interpersonal , communication and organisational skills , with the ability to build successful relationships and trust with a wide range of partners. You will be confident preparing clear design briefs, reports, engagement summaries and project documentation, and able to manage risks, budgets, procurement and project delivery requirements effectively.
