Location: Hitchin Role Summary As the Community & Events Manager, you will be responsible for identifying, nurturing and managing a high-impact, highly effective set of brand partners, athletes, creators and industry events. You will be a key relationship guardian. You will ensure OGT is physically present where our target audience and community gathers, and digitally aligned with individuals and brands that share our commitment to performance, sustainability and authenticity. Your goal is to turn organic reach and digital advocacy into long-term brand credibility and subscribers. Roles & Responsibilities Partnership Management • Sourcing: Proactively scout complementary brands (cycling, running, hiking, outdoor adventures, but also tech, sustainability, fashion, food and more) and inspiring athletes who genuinely align with the outdoor adventure sector., • Negotiation and structure: Draft and manage partnership agreements focused on mutual value, such as profit shares, content swaps and exclusive community access., • Relationship success: Serve as the primary point of contact for high-profile ambassadors, ensuring they have the product, information and support they need to be true advocates., • Content collaboration: Work with partners and the internal team to generate authentic social proof and ‘in-the-wild’ content for OGT’s marketing channels. Events & Activation • Strategy and planning: Own the annual events calendar, from major marathons and cycling sportives to niche hiking festivals and more., • On-site execution: Lead the logistics, setup and staffing for OGT stands and sampling stations, ensuring the brand experience is premium and high-energy., • Sponsorship oversight: Manage event-based sponsorships to ensure OGT receives maximum visibility, value and data-capture opportunities., • Post-event analysis: Review the qualitative and quantitative success of each activation to refine future strategies. Influencer Strategy • Talent Discovery: Identify and recruit influencers and micro-influencers who possess high engagement and a genuine affinity for the outdoor adventure and endurance lifestyle., • Campaign Management: Brief, manage and track influencer campaigns, ensuring that all content feels like a natural extension of their personal brand while meeting OGT’s strategic goals., • Performance Tracking: Utilise tools to monitor the ROI of influencer activity, focusing on qualitative brand sentiment and quantitative growth in community size and website traffic., • The ‘Inner Square’: Develop a tiered program that provides top-tier influencers with exclusive access to product launches, R&D insights, and behind-the-scenes brand experiences., • Authenticity Policing: Ensure all influencer output remains compliant with advertising standards while maintaining an authentic aesthetic that resonates with the outdoor community. Brand & Strategy • Guardianship: Rigorously vet all opportunities against our criteria to protect brand equity., • Market intelligence: Stay ahead of trends in the outdoor, nutrition and DTC space to identify ‘first-mover’ partnership opportunities. Candidate Requirements • Industry experience: 4+ years in Partnership Management, Event Marketing or Athlete Management, preferably within the sports, fitness or outdoor sectors., • ‘Outdoor DNA: A genuine passion for and participation in cycling, running, hiking or other outdoor adventure activities., • Relationship first: Proven ability to build rapport with brand ambassadors and high-level brand stakeholders; you value personal relationships as much as a signed contract., • Logistical prowess: Highly organised with experience managing complex event logistics, budgets and third-party vendors., • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to pitch the OGT vision to diverse audiences., • Influencer literacy: Deep understanding of the influencer landscape, including platform trends (IG, TikTok, Strava, YouTube etc…), platform-specific analytics and the nuances of ASA guidelines. Desirable (Non-Essential) • Experience working within a high-growth DTC or subscription-based business model., • An existing network of contacts within the UK/European outdoor event circuit., • Experience in Sustainability or Environmental advocacy within a corporate or brand setting., • Basic content creation skills (photography/mobile video) to capture "behind the scenes" moments at events or with partners.
