Section Engineer Galldris Group Location: Radlett Highway Project, Hertfordshire An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Section Engineer to join our London Region on our Radlett Highways Project. To be considered, you will come from a Construction or Civil Engineering background and have been in the role of a Section Engineer with civils and highways experience. The Section Engineer will report into the Senior Engineer and will be responsible for managing the engineering on the highways project, ensuring works are constructed to the contract drawings, specifications, procedures, and plans, whilst managing site and trainee engineers. Key Accountabilities to include but not limited to: Health, Safety & Environment: • Contribute/Writing/Checking RAMS and TBS, communicating to workforce and monitoring compliance, • Contribute to the achievement of Galldris’ Safety Targets and zero tolerance of unsafe working practices, • To establish and implement site systems and controls consistent with Galldris company standards and project requirements including health, safety and quality systems and project engineering standards, • Contribute and review the short-term lookahead programmes and reporting feedback on site, • Feedback and report issues on site which may delay programme or progress, • Permanent Design – Familiarising yourself with the design drawings, specifications and setting out requirements and ensure accurate construction in accordance with requirements. Manage any Contractor Design Portions required on the scheme, • Temporary Works Design – Carry out the TWC role and managing and identify temporary works requirements, produce design briefs, and understand and communicate temporary works designs to site team and monitor installation to ensure compliance, • MARs – Raising Material Approval Records and procuring materials in line with programme, • ITPs – Writing/checking ITPs, communicating to workforce and checking the process is being followed, • QA Records – Ensuring and keeping organised and accurate QA records in accordance with ITPs and project requirements, • NCRs & Defects – Lead on documenting, tracking, closing out, and sharing lessons learnt to avoid reoccurrence, • Quality Handover Documentation – Collating information in accordance with ITPs and handover requirements, • Previous experience as Site Engineer / Section Engineer (or similar) for civil engineering contractor, • Experience with highways and infrastructure works. Health & Safety Manager – Edgware £65,000 – £75,000 + Package Leading UK Main Contractor A leading construction main contractor is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager to oversee safety performance across major projects in the Edgware region. This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected contractor delivering large-scale, high-value construction schemes, where you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the highest standards of health, safety, and compliance. The Role As the Health & Safety Manager, you will take ownership of site safety across multiple construction projects, ensuring teams operate safely, efficiently, and in full alignment with UK legislation and company policies. You will be the central point of contact for all H&S matters, driving continuous improvement and promoting a strong safety culture throughout the business. Key Responsibilities • Ensure all projects remain safe, compliant, and aligned with company and legislative requirements, • Implement and embed company Health & Safety policies to prevent injury, ill health, damage, and wastage, • Maintain thorough knowledge of all statutory requirements relating to construction operations, • Promote the company’s H&S policies and ensure full workforce understanding, • Conduct regular site safety inspections, recording findings and reporting to the Site Managers and Directors, • Ensure corrective actions from previous inspections are closed out within set timescales, • Challenge and address any unsafe behaviour or non-compliance on site, • Support Project Managers with accident investigations and produce timely close-out reports, • Deliver comprehensive site inductions for operatives and subcontractors, • Ensure all welfare facilities, site setups, and statutory notices are maintained to required standards, • Oversee permit-to-work processes, ensuring accuracy and suitability for tasks undertaken, • Maintain safe COSHH storage and ensure environmental risks are minimised, • Review RAMS for suitability and compliance, • Carry out any additional H&S-related tasks as requested by senior management Skills & Experience Required • NEBOSH Construction Certificate (essential), • Proven experience working on UK construction sites within main contracting, • Strong knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation and ability to interpret it effectively, • Full, clean driving licence, • Excellent communication and influencing skills at all levels, • Strong organisational skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, • Confident decision-maker with a logical and methodical approach

client is now searching for talented and motivated Contracts Engineers with experience (at any level) within the piling, foundations or ground engineering sectors.Supporting the Project Manager, the successful candidates will enjoy the day-to-day responsibility for the safe, timely and profitable delivery of a wide variety of projects and schemes, all running simultaneously at differing stages of completion.This will include managing a site-based team, and resolving any technical, operational and commercial issues as required.The Role Plan, programme and deliver contracts in conjunction with the regional team, internal departments, and subcontractors in accordance with company policy Take responsibility for all assigned projects, including the review of estimates and designs to ensure during the pre-tender phase as required Ensure the commercial team is provided with all relevant information, documentation and instructions to support contract variations and final accounts contracts, projects or site engineering role from any area of the piling, foundations, retaining structures or ground engineering sectors To have assisted in the development and delivery of projects with a diplomatic and pragmatic approach, but also with a hands-on attitude to clients, sub-contractors and teams To possess first-hand exposure to various contracts, and demonstrate a lead from the front approach Hold experience of a variety of projects, including multi discipline techniques Possess an understanding of all stages of the contracting process, coupled with the ability to manage and develop yourself both technically and commercially Able to identify the requirements of assigned projects to efficiently and effectively produce the most appropriate delivery plan or programme Correspond and negotiate with clients, suppliers, contractors and colleagues Efficiently manage situations when workload presents conflicting demands on time and availability, demonstrating an ability to effectively prioritise and schedule Monitor, progress and implement controls to ensure tasks are achieved to time, cost and quality Develop and select effective solutions to project requirements
