ROLE: HR Communications and Engagement Assistant LOCATION: Ashford SALARY: Up to £32k depending on experience FULL TIME / PERMANENT: 37.5 HOURS As our next HR Communications and Engagement Assistant you will show a real passion for developing and maintaining an internal communications and engagement plan that ensures colleagues receive timely, relevant and accurate information that is necessary to support the business and leads to high levels of staff motivation and engagement with the Premier Foods brand. Work closely with FGM and Senior HR BP to work with communities and create a presence locally Responsible for managing catering contract to get the value add for colleagues Key responsibilities Communications: Prepare and manage an internal communications and engagement plan that enables colleagues to receive, and provide feedback on timely, relevant and accurate information that enables them to understand and deliver objectives and carry out their tasks most effectively. Develop, edit, publish and distribute a weekly colleague briefing that provides interesting and motivational material enabling colleagues to keep abreast of business developments, and news about our people. Promote and embed employee recognition schemes and awards and liaise with the business and Ashford teams to ensure that success of colleagues is effectively celebrated and communicated. Provide input to Premier Foods internal communications processes and publications utilising all communication channels as appropriate. Site lead for engagement initiatives and plans to include surveys including the delivery of the Engagement Calendar, Premier Voice meetings; community involvement (school and charity involvement) Organisation of key engagement events such as Summer Parties and Christmas Engagement. Support on communications arising from colleague feedback (through survey and general feedback) Manage VIP visits and external visitors - help manage visit and ensure they have a great experience leaving with a good impression of the business. Ensure Visual management is on trend mainly colleague facing communication including boards, kiosks and electronic screens. Work on programmes which generates feedback from all levels of Colleagues with a view to developing workstreams which are action focused. Supporting and dealing with suppliers on engagement events and communication material. Promote the use of electronic communication i.e. increase usage of kiosks and what's cooking. Support charity work and increasing community awareness of the site. Supporting with health and wellbeing events and plans. Delivery of the wider People Plan. Take a lead on Sports and Social Club meetings and liaising with the Club's Treasurer to ensure funds are spent effectively Catering Oversee Catering Contract with support from Central Procurement and work with the Catering contract supplier to ensure service is fit for purpose and track spend Company Shop Liaise with Company Shop assistant to ensure that shop is stocked and help with general enquiries. General Review and Manage pool cars which includes car bookings and driving licence database checks Provide support for HR duties which include but not limited to payroll, recruitment and advise to managers on policies and procedures Raise purchase orders as necessary Process external post Office workwear ordering as required Stationary ordering as required Carry out any reasonable management request The successful candidate will have. Essential: CIPD - L3 as a minimum or some form of further development in a related field i.e. formal communication qualification A proven track record of working with a range of internal andexternal stakeholders. Experience of leading communications to support Colleague engagement. Experience writing clear copy and the ability to proof-read. Experience with social media Ability to work pro-actively, under-pressure. Excellent organisational skills Microsoft Office (Intermediate Excel, Powerpoint, etc) Great verbal and written communication skills Keen attention to detail Ability to prioritise Desirable: CIPD - L5 Creative writing skills Facilitation skills Event planning Media relations exposure The Next Step.......
