Office Administrator & Social Value Coordinator Roofing & Cladding Contractor Durham | £25,000 – £30,000 | Full Time, Permanent (37 hours) Lemon Drizzle Recruitment is excited to be working with a thriving and growing Roofing & Cladding Contractor based in Durham. Known for delivering high-quality building envelope solutions across commercial, industrial and high-rise projects throughout the North East, this is a business with strong values and a genuinely supportive culture. They’re now looking for an Office Administrator & Social Value Coordinator to play a key role at the heart of the business. Why this role stands out This is much more than a standard admin position. You’ll be a central support hub for the business, working closely with commercial, procurement, technical and site teams — while also helping to shape and grow the company’s social value and community impact strategy, an area the business expects to expand significantly. What you’ll be doing Office Administration (Primary Focus): • Providing admin support across all departments, • Acting as the first point of contact for calls and emails, • Managing office supplies, equipment, and document control, • Maintaining accurate filing systems (digital and physical), • Coordinating general HR administration, • Supporting day-to-day office operations to keep everything running smoothly Social Value & Community Engagement (Growing Focus): • Supporting the planning, delivery, and monitoring of social value initiatives, • Coordinating community engagement activities and events, • Building relationships with local charities, schools, and suppliers, • Collecting and managing data for social value reporting, • Assisting with internal and external reports, • Maintaining records in line with relevant frameworks and commitments What they’re looking for • A positive, proactive, can-do attitude, • Strong communication skills — confident on the phone, by email and face-to-face, • Ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, • Comfortable working under pressure and adapting to change, • A true team player who enjoys supporting others, • Confident using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), • A genuine passion for community engagement and sustainability, • A full UK driving licence (or working towards one) — community visits are part of the role What’s in it for you? • Competitive salary: £25,000 – £30,000, • 25 days holiday + bank holidays, • Company pension, • Free on-site parking, • Early finish every Friday (2pm!), • Clear opportunity to progress into a senior social value role, • Hands-on exposure to live construction projects and site environments from day one, • A friendly, close-knit team where your contribution genuinely matters Hiring process Informal chat with Rachel Scott at Lemon Drizzle Recruitment CV submission to the client In-person interview with the Hiring Manager If you’re looking for a role where you can build skills, make an impact, and develop a long-term career within construction administration and social value, this is an opportunity you don’t want to miss
