This is a fantastic temp-to-perm opportunity, with the initial 12 weeks on a temporary contract before moving into a permanent position, subject to performance and suitability. The Role Working as part of a small and friendly hospitality team, you will play a key role in delivering a high-quality meeting and events service across the building. The site has 19 meeting rooms and one conference room, with capacity to cater for events of up to 80 guests. As there is no kitchen on site, food is delivered by external caterers and prepared, presented and served by the hospitality team. This is a hands-on role where no two days are necessarily the same. You will need to be flexible and comfortable moving between floors and supporting wherever required to ensure the smooth running of the hospitality operation. He can keep you on your toes and brings plenty of laughter to those who know him well. He has limited verbal communication but understands far more than he is able to express. He is able to use some Makaton signing, although he can sometimes be reluctant to do so, so the successful candidate will need patience, excellent communication skills and the ability to encourage interaction in a calm, positive and consistent way. Like many people with communication difficulties, he can sometimes become frustrated when he is unable to express his needs, wishes or feelings.
