Eligibility: Eligibility Age Range: you can apply from 15 years and 9 months old, but you must be at least 16 on the day you begin basic training. The upper age limit for entry is 44 years old. Entry Requirements: You dont need formal qualifications to join the Catering Services specialisation in the Royal Navy. However, if you already have catering experience or relevant qualifications, you may be eligible for The Catering Services Fast Track Process*, an accelerated training route that also offers a higher starting salary. Nationality Requirements: Applicants must be a United Kingdom national, a Commonwealth citizen, or a dual national (note: certain restrictions may apply to dual nationality). Waist Size Check for Joining: If your waist is less than half your height, you're good to go. If your waist is about half your height, you'll need a quick health check, but you might still be okay to join. If your waist is much smaller or much bigger than half your height, you'll need to get to a healthier size before joining.
