Management Accountant \n \n Reporting to: Head of FP&A and Strategic Financial Planning \n \n Role Overview \n We are seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join a small but high-impact FP&A team. \n Reporting to the Head of FP&A and Strategic Financial Planning, this role will have significant autonomy and accountability for the end-to-end production of management accounts. The successful candidate will also line manage and develop one team member. \n \n The Management Accountant will work closely with the Finance Director, FP&A team, and wider Finance function, playing a key role in ensuring financial reporting is accurate, insightful, and delivered on time. The role will also support decision-making in a fast-paced, commercially focused environment. \n \n Key Responsibilities \n Preparation of Management Accounts \n\n • Take full accountability for the end-to-end production of management accounts.\n, • Prepare and review monthly management accounts for all Group companies.\n, • Prepare consolidated management accounts.\n, • Perform balance sheet reconciliations.\n, • Complete monthly Board and Executive reporting packs.\n\n Reporting \n\n • Produce insightful reporting, including Sales activity, Customer, and R&D reporting.\n, • Develop P&L reporting by function, department, and product.\n, • Build strong relationships with key business stakeholders.\n, • Provide management information to the Executive team as required.\n\n Forecasting and Budgeting \n\n • Collaborate with other members of the FP&A team to support the production of forecasts and budgets.\n, • Assist in preparing supporting packs and analysis for budget and forecast cycles.\n\n Continuous Improvement \n\n • Drive continuous improvement in reporting processes, reporting quality, and model governance.\n, • Improve accuracy and help reduce the monthly reporting timeline.\n, • Proactively implement process improvements and strengthen controls through automation.\n, • Leverage financial systems, data, and tools to improve automation, insight, and efficiency.\n\n Leadership and People Management \n\n • Provide direct line management to one management accounting team member.\n, • Set goals, provide coaching, support development, and manage performance.\n, • Act as a mentor and role model across the wider Finance team.\n, • Promote high standards of attention to detail, rigour, ownership, and reporting quality.\n, • Ensure consistency, insight, and strong technical standards across reporting outputs.\n\n \n Skills and Experience Required \n Qualifications \n\n • Fully qualified accountant: ACCA, ACA, or CIMA.(Qualified ideally, but if 1 or 2 exams off completion that would be fine.)\n\n Experience \n\n • Proven experience producing timely and accurate financial information.\n, • Experience working in a SaaS or technology-led environment would be advantageous.\n, • Experience managing, coaching, or developing others, or clear readiness to step into a people-management role.\n, • Experience using financial and operational systems such as SAP, Jira, or Salesforce would be advantageous.\n\n Skills \n\n • Strong current knowledge of accounting practices.\n, • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.\n, • Advanced Excel skills.\n, • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.\n, • Ability to work with autonomy in a lean FP&A environment.\n, • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.\n, • Comfortable working with financial systems, data, and reporting tools.\n\n
