As SEO Content Manager at Position Digital, you will lead the SEO Content function at Position Digital – helping our varied client base win more business from organic search. You will be responsible for creating, managing and delivering SEO content strategies and reporting on their effectiveness. This includes working on everything from content audits and AI brand visibility audits to keyword research and content production (ideation, briefing, editing and optimising content for SEO and GEO). You will also be responsible for reviewing processes and making improvements to ensure we are working most efficiently. You will use AI across your workflow to produce work quickly and to a high standard. You must be confident in prompting AI to get quality outputs and know how to refine or edit these outputs to create content that aligns with search intent and consumer expectations. You will be comfortable working directly with clients in an account management capacity, specifically to provide regular content updates (via email or over video call) and to present strategies and reports. You'll be working across a mix of informational and transactional content types and have a strong understanding of content design, SEO tools and the role of content in the wider search landscape. We’re looking for someone with an ambitious, strategic and collaborative mindset. You’ll work closely with our Outreach, Digital PR and Tech teams, who may be based in a different time zone. You must be able to work full-time, with some overlap with UK hours. Full training will be provided on our processes and ways of working. However, we are looking for someone experienced who can add value from day one. Responsibilities • Produce and execute best-in-class SEO content strategies for new and existing clients, • Feed into SEO reports to ensure visibility into performance, • Liaise closely with clients to deliver regular updates and to present results and strategies, • Monitor SEO results to spot any performance issues that need to be addressed, • Present Content team updates at monthly company meetings, • Conduct audits into content performance, AI brand visibility and internal linking to identify opportunities for improvement, • Use tools like Ahrefs, Semrush, GA4, Screaming Frog and Google Search Console for strategy development, auditing and performance analysis, • Use content tools, such as Surfer, to ensure content is fully optimised for SEO, • Create detailed content briefs (both for external writers and your own use), • Write, edit and proof content for blogs, landing pages, guides, and occasionally press releases, • Optimise existing content in line with UX, SEO, GEO and CRO principles, • Collaborate with designers and developers on content layout and usability, • Use AI tools such as ChatGPT and Perplexity to streamline content creation, • Liaise closely with Outreach and Digital PR teams to ensure content and outreach strategies are aligned, • Liaise closely with the Tech team to ensure any content-related tech tasks are conducted to a high standard, • Use Notion to keep client dashboards, content projects and tasks up-to-date Salary dependent on experience. 40 hours per week, full-time About You Essential: • At least 5 years of experience in SEO content, with an excellent understanding of on-page SEO best practices, • Experience writing for B2B, SaaS or Tech audiences, • Proven experience with content strategy, keyword research, content creation, content auditing and optimisation, • Experience and confidence in liaising directly with clients, • Ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and clients, • Familiar with tools like Ahrefs, Semrush, Google Search Console, GA4, Screaming Frog and ChatGPT, • Strong writing, proofing, and editing skills, • Understanding of UX and content design principles, • Understanding of how to capture AI search potential, • Experience working on both informational and transactional content, • Excellent attention to detail, • Strong project management and organisational skills, • Ability to manage projects independently, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively, • Exceptional communication skills, • Experience in updating CMSs, • Educated to degree level, • Native fluency in English, • Experience gathering expert contributors or interviewees, • Skills in design, visual content creation or layout, • A degree in English and/or a humanities-related subject
