Job Description As a Business Development Executive, you will be responsible for developing new client relationships and identifying growth opportunities across Xcede’s Data & AI portfolio. You will combine commercial insight with technical understanding to consult with clients, understand their business challenges, and deliver tailored, value-led solutions. This role sits at the heart of Xcede’s UK Go-To-Market strategy — supporting all stages of the commercial lifecycle, from opportunity identification through to bid development, proposal presentation, and solution design. Working alongside senior stakeholders and subject matter experts, you’ll play a key role in accelerating the growth of our Data & AI consulting business. Key Responsibilities • Identify and develop new business opportunities within the Data & AI domain, spanning data strategy, engineering, governance, and analytics., • Partner with internal delivery and technical teams to design commercially viable, fit-for-purpose solutions for prospective clients., • Lead client engagement from initial contact through to proposal presentation and contract close., • Support pre-sales and bid activity, including requirements analysis, scope definition, and solution design documentation., • Act as a trusted advisor to clients — translating business needs into clear technical and commercial propositions., • Present and articulate the value of Xcede’s Data & AI capabilities to both technical and non-technical stakeholders., • Collaborate with marketing to shape thought leadership and go-to-market campaigns that enhance brand visibility., • Maintain awareness of emerging technologies, market trends, and competitor capabilities., • Contribute to the continuous improvement of Xcede’s propositions, identifying opportunities to refine and expand our service offering Qualifications • 4+ years of experience in business development, pre-sales, or client engagement for a professional services, consulting, or technology solutions provider., • Proven track record in selling or shaping data, AI, cloud, or digital transformation solutions., • Strong understanding of modern data technologies and cloud ecosystems (Azure, AWS mandatory; GCP desirable)., • Commercially astute, with the ability to balance client requirements against business priorities and profitability., • Excellent communication and presentation skills — confident in engaging with C-level executives and technical stakeholders alike., • Highly organised, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously., • Strong collaboration skills, with experience working across sales, delivery, and technical teams., • A proactive, curious mindset and a genuine interest in Data & AI innovation.
