Role Description Talion is looking for an individual to take responsibility for the delivery of several of our Managed Security Service contracts to ensure that we meet Client expectations whilst delivering in line with budget and quality standards. They will act as the Client’s key point of contact for the Service and as their advocate to the internal teams. Our Technical Service Managers (TSM) produce Service performance reports, oversee incidents, problems and changes on the Service and provide escalation points for both our Clients and within the business as required. They act on behalf of both parties to ensure smooth delivery of Services to contracted service levels, manage the costs to deliver them whilst continually working with all parties to find improvements to the Service. They continuously add value to our Service and to the requirements of their Customers - this can take the form of expertise in Service Improvement, analysis of trends in the Services delivered, influencing improvements in the Services delivered, liaising with Customers to understand strategic direction, and identifying ways in which Talion can support them. The successful candidate must be able to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, from board director to junior analyst, use influencing skills and a range of styles to ensure that our customers receive the high standard of service they expect. This role will be based in Leeds however TSMs are expected to travel to Clients’ sites on a regular basis. Key Responsibilities Service Delivery and Reporting • Delivery of services in accordance with agreed service levels and key performance indicators., • Diagnosis of service problems, initiating actions to maintain or improve the levels of service., • Collaboration with the Customer at both technical and business levels to underpin the activities of sub-contractors or service provisioning teams., • Management of small enhancement projects utilising capabilities within the service team., • Management of the handling of incidents, problems and change in their area of service., • Preparation of service delivery reports for presentation at regular service delivery reviews., • Interpretation of technical issues and translation of them into business issues and needs then initiation of actions to maintain or improve levels of service., • Monitoring of performance, collection of performance data and investigation of problems and trends., • Resolution or escalation of problems, implementation of service improvement actions and programmes, management of these to agreed timelines and ownership of communication to both the Customer and internal management teams., • Provision of feedback on service portfolio components based on industry trends and service performance. Business Development • Development of relationship with Client service team and account managers to sell add-on enhancements and changes by becoming a trusted advisor, identification of opportunities and qualification of them then development of them in collaboration with the account manager., • Management of the design, estimation, approval, and implementation of Contract Change Requests to the service, drawing upon service architects where required. Subcontractor • Influencing of subcontractors who deliver components of the service, whether those are external company providers or other parts of Talion. Working with their management chain or manager of the subcontractor to ensure delivery of services to Customers., • Maintaining relationships with parts of the Client organisation with which we have service dependencies. About the team: The Social Sciences Journals team is comprised of 9 Publishers: 2 in Oxford (UK), 4 in London (UK), 2 in Amsterdam (NL) and 1 in Shanghai (China); And 4 Scientific Editors based in Amsterdam (NL), London (UK) and Delhi (India). About the role: We are looking for a bright and enthusiastic individual to work alongside the Publishers and existing Associate Scientific Editors to help further grow, shape and develop Social Sciences & Humanities Open and Acta Psychologica, significant, broad scope, sound-science open access titles within the Social Sciences Journals team. This role will balance academic research knowledge with efficiency, analytic skills, network development and creativity. We are looking to recruit a full-time Associate Scientific Editor to work at any of the main offices in the UK or the Netherlands (London, Oxford or Amsterdam). Please note you must already have a permit to work in one of these locations to be considered for this role. Any applicant would need to have a good educational background and keen interest in academic publishing; excellent communication skills; and would have to be prepared to work somewhat independently from the rest of the immediate team while also contributing to team initiatives. More about the role: • To work with the Publishing team, and collaborate with the existing Scientific Editors, to help facilitate the growth and development of Acta Psychologica and Social Sciences & Humanities Open, including the identification, acquisition, management, and development of high impact social science content, and helping to facilitate the content pipeline., • To establish and maintain close contacts with the social sciences communities in academia and industry, and to work directly with authors, reviewers, and editors to help manage an efficient, rigorous and author friendly peer review process which maintains high professional and academic standards. Job Title: PPFG Specialist Job Location: Aberdeen or Sunbury-on-Thames (3 days a week in the office / 2 days from home) Start Date: January 2026 Contract Length: 12 Months Industry: Oil and Energy Working Hours: 8 per day / 40 per week Role Overview: The PPFG (Pore Pressure and Fracture Gradient) and Geomechanics Specialist working across the Eastern Hemisphere will be responsible for supporting Exploration and Development well planning, execution, abandonment, and continuous improvement through the development of compliant pore and fracture pressure forecasts and wellbore stability analysis. The role may support at least two drill centres and/or one exploration well and a regional project. They will lead the integration of geomechanics into the use of wellbore strengthening and wellbore stability evaluations, and undertake pressure detection efforts as required for specific exploration, appraisal, or complex development wells, and evaluate sub-surface related non-productive time (NPT) events into new forecasts. As a member of the Subsurface community within bp, the Senior Specialist will have the opportunity to work within high-performing integrated teams in a dynamic and diverse environment where creativity and innovations are fostered and encouraged. The role requires strong collaboration with other disciplines supporting drilling, completions, new well delivery and reservoir management operations. The Senior Specialist will actively participate in PPFG/Geomechanics global calls/workshops to share regional learning, regional workflows, and look for opportunities to incorporate learnings from other regions into local workflows and processes. What you will do: • Provide pore pressure and fracture gradient (PPFG) prediction from pre-existing models and update as required as new data is acquired through the drilling of new wells., • Lead the development of wellbore stability (WBS) and fracture gradient prediction for well planning through analysis and integration of data from offset wells, laboratory rock testing and stress modelling across the field areas., • Interpret past well data and plan future data collection for calibrating predictions of fracture gradient reduction with reservoir depletion. Participate in possible mitigation plans where necessary., • Make recommendations to multi-disciplinary team engaged in well planning and design on the selection of drilling fluid type/weight, casing string design, setting depths, potential geohazards and mitigation techniques, including methodology for identification, prevention and remediation of lost circulation., • Provide pore pressure and hole problem detection support during drilling operations and update existing pore pressure and WBS / fracture gradient predictions accordingly. Identify potential lost circulation zones., • Perform thorough post-well reviews of all relevant data.
