Permit to Work Coordinator – Teesside Purpose of the position: As Permit to Work Coordinator in the HSE team, you will be responsible for managing and monitoring all PTW systems. You will be authorized and trained to coordinate the process of all Permits, to identify potential conflicting work tasks on a geographical and time basis. You will manage the PTW office and chair a daily PTW coordination meeting. You will join our BP NEP project. How can you support us? Here below your responsibilities: • Deliver HSE induction and training to ensure the effective implementation of Life Saving Rules in the operative sites, • Conduct HSE inspections on internal and subcontractors’ activities, • Monitor the effective implementation of the Permit to Work system on site, • Keep updated HSE procedures and reports for each tasks, • Spread HSE rules / standards / procedures / bulletins on site, • Ensure that relevant safety risk assessments are complied with, and that Job Safety Analysis are prepared during the operations, • Control compliance of the equipment utilized on site, • Prepare and administer HSE KPIs for the operational activities, • Assist in the investigation of accidents and analysis to identify trends and propose the necessary corrective measures Experience: 10-15 years as PTW Officer or similar within the Oil&Gas industry What we can offer to you: • Contractor role for 15 months, outside IR35, full-time, • Location: Teesside, • Start date: as soon as a successful candidate is identified The NRL Group connect global companies with the right people to bring engineering projects to life. Responsibilities: Maintain and continually improve the companys ISO 9001 Quality Management System Oversee quality control for structural steelwork fabrication within the workshop facility Ensure compliance with EN 1090 requirements up to Execution Class 3 (EXC3), including Factory Production Control (FPC) and welding quality management Act as the Responsible Welding Coordinator (RWC) in accordance with ISO 3834-2 standards Maintain and update Welding Procedure Qualification Records (WPQRs) and Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) Manage welder qualification tests and maintain welder approval records in line with EN ISO 9606 Coordinate Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) activities and ensure full traceability of results Represent the company in client quality meetings and liaise with notified bodies during audits Compile and manage LTQRs, project quality documentation, and site quality packs Raise, track, and close Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and issue Notices of Inspection (NOIs) for client reviews Conduct internal and supplier audits to verify compliance with EN 1090 and ISO 9001 Provide technical support and guidance to site teams on welding and quality-related matters, including Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) Ensure all work complies with industry codes, standards, and project specifications for structural steelwork up to EXC3 Requirements: At least 6 years experience within the structural steelwork or fabrication sector Strong understanding of welding and fabrication processes and experience preparing and inspecting LTQRs Holds CSWIP 3.1 / 3.2 Welding Inspector certification Proven experience as a Responsible Welding Coordinator (RWC) in line with ISO 3834-2 and EN 1090 Good knowledge of NDT techniques and relevant welding codes and standards Experience conducting ISO 9001 and EN 1090 internal audits Skilled in liaising with clients, subcontractors, notified bodies, and project teams Highly organised, with strong communication skills and exceptional attention to detail Salary negotiable Monday - Friday If you are passionate about maintaining high-quality standards and have the technical expertise and leadership skills required, we encourage you to apply for this rewarding opportunity.
