The Role
You will report to the Store Manager to maximise store sales and operations activities in the development of growth of the business. You will deputise for the Store Manager in their absence which will require the ability to work on your own initiative and manage others. We are seeking a motivated individual with excellent customer service skills and who is highly organised. You will be commercially focused. Previous sales and or retail management background is essential in this progressive environment.
Sales Responsibilities
Advising new and existing customers on the best storage solution for their particular needs
Letting of rooms
Selling of merchandise
Introduction of insurance
Following up enquiries
Managing existing accounts and general administrative tasks
Operational Responsibilities
· Managing daily operations together with managing and motivating a team to meet store targets
· Ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction by being knowledgeable on all products offered to provide an excellent sales service
· Develop and sustain sales activities to ensure maximum profit is achieved
· Delivering sales, customer experience, merchandising, visual, and operational expectations
· Maintains an awareness of all product knowledge, and current or upcoming product / trends.
· Ensuring the store is running smoothly on a consistent basis and presents itself to a high standard of cleanliness
· Leading from the front; meeting objectives and policies
· Flexible availability – including evenings, weekends, and holidays
· Key Holder and alarm responsibilities
· Live within 30 minutes travelling time of the store
· Hold a full driving licence and access to own vehicle
Financial Responsibilities
· Meeting of financial and sales targets
· Meeting store budgets and financial and sales targets
Essential Skills
· 1 year of supervisory/management experience
· 1 year of experience in a customer-facing, sales and or retail setting
· Computer literate
· Problem solving, decision making, planning and organising
· Possess strong selling and communication skills
· A hands on and CAN DO attitude
Preferred but not Essential Experience within:
Self Storage / Removals / Retail / Direct Sales / Customer Services / Financial Services
Hours of Work
40 hours per week rota shifts during store opening times of:
· Monday to Friday 08.00 to 19.00
· Saturday 09.00 to 18.00
· Sunday 10.00 to 16:00
