The Role: Software Engineer We are seeking a talented Software Engineer with experience in web applications to join our growing development team. This role is ideal for someone who is confident in their coding skills and eager to expand their expertise, while contributing to impactful projects in a collaborative and agile environment. You’ll be working alongside senior engineers, gaining exposure to modern technologies, and helping deliver high-quality solutions that support the business. Location: Hybrid working in the Manchester Office at least once a week Hours: The role is a full-time position Key Responsibilities • Build and maintain features in Magento 2 (PHP), following clean coding standards and best practices., • Develop front-end components using React (JS/TS) to support a modern customer experience., • Work with stakeholders to turn requirements into practical technical solutions., • Contribute to code reviews, troubleshooting, and continuous improvements across the platform., • Support Agile delivery through collaboration, refinement, and regular releases., • Share knowledge through documentation and team support. About You (Skills and Experience) Essential • 4 years’ experience in software engineering., • Commercial experience with PHP and MySQL., • Strong understanding of Magento 2 development., • Exposure to architecture principles and software design patterns., • Confident with React, CSS preprocessors, and modern JavaScript/TypeScript., • Comfortable using Git and working in an Agile environment., • Strong communication skills and a quality-first mindset. Nice to have • Experience with e-commerce integrations (payments, shipping, analytics)., • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and performance optimisation. What’s in it for you?
