\n Join Our Team as a Residential Deputy Manager!\n \n Role: Residential Deputy Manager - Children's Home \n Contract: Full Time, Permanent \n Salary: Base salary of £31,105.28, with the potential to earn up to £34,362.56 through sleep-in shifts. \n Location: Carlisle \n Specific Hours: 42 hours per week with a rotating shift pattern \n\n About Us\n At North Lakes Children's Services, we are dedicated to providing therapeutic residential care and education for boys aged 6-18. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified and experienced Children's Home Deputy Manager to make a real difference. \n\n Main Responsibilities\n \n • Ensure the Statement of Purpose reflects the needs of the young people and outlines staff qualifications and expertise.\n, • Develop effective communication strategies to facilitate information flow within the team.\n, • Manage and develop quality direct services for young people, ensuring compliance with our policies and procedures.\n, • Identify and meet staff training and development needs, assisting in training as required.\n, • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety Regulations.\n, • Regularly inspect the home’s condition and ensure all equipment is in good working order.\n, • Oversee financial budgets and ensure compliance with our expectations and procedures.\n, • Promote and implement our Equality and Diversity policies.\n, • Set, monitor, and evaluate quality standards for individual and team performance.\n, • Establish and manage team communication systems to ensure clarity on policies and objectives.\n, • Provide vision and leadership, ensuring effective workload management and staff performance development.\n \n\n What We’re Looking For\n \n, • A strong understanding of the challenges faced by young people in care.\n, • Relevant qualifications: Residential Childcare/Families Practitioner Diploma, Children and Young People's Workforce, NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care, or equivalent.\n, • Excellent communication and listening skills.\n, • A willingness to learn and grow.\n, • A collaborative team player.\n, • Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check (cost covered by us).\n, • Experience with Emotional Behavioural Disorder, Social/Residential Work, or Youth Work is a plus.\n, • A full, clean UK driving licence and flexibility to cover at other Residential Homes as needed.\n \n\n Why Join Us?\n \n, • Earn a sleep-in allowance of £62.64 per night, with potential extra earnings of up to £3,257.28.\n, • Enjoy a shift rotation of 2 days on, 2 days off, with flexible start times.\n, • Benefit from 6 weeks of annual leave.\n, • Participate in our company pension scheme.\n, • Access our Employee Discount Scheme for savings at various well-known retailers.\n, • Utilize our Employee Assistance Programme for wellbeing support.\n, • Receive overtime and additional holiday pay on Christmas Day and New Year's Day.\n, • Explore career progression opportunities.\n
