This isa great opportunityto lead an important function in a values-led housing association,where your work will directlysupportsafe, well-maintained homes, strongerassuranceand better outcomes for customers.Youllhave the scope to improve how we manage compliance,riskand contractor performance, while supportingemployees and contractors to work safely.Youllalso help embed a positive health and safety culture that is practical, customer-focused and aligned with the Hundred Houses Way.About the roleAs Health, Safety and Compliance Manager, youll lead our property compliance and organisational health and safety arrangements, making sure we meet our statutory, regulatory and contractual responsibilities across areas such as gas, electrical safety, fire risk, water hygiene, asbestos, lifting equipment, building safety and Damp, Mould and Condensation.This is a varied leadership role with real scope to improve how we plan, deliver,monitorand strengthen compliance.Youlllead compliance programmes, budgets,contractorsand performance reporting,providingclear advice,accuratedata and practical solutions to colleagues and senior leaders.Youllalso develop direct reports, improve records and digital systems, and help embed a positive safety culture where risks are understood, actions are followed through and learning leads to better services.Youllhave the autonomy to lead improvements, influence colleagues and contractors, and turn compliance requirements into practical, well-managed services thatmake a difference forcustomers andemployees.Whatyoullbe doingLead property compliance programmes across key areas including gas, electrical safety, fire risk, water hygiene, asbestos, lifting equipment, building safety and wider statutory compliance, ensuring legal duties are met and risks arewell managed.Provide clear leadership to the compliance team and work collaboratively across Property Services and the wider Society to support a positive, practical health and safety culture.Manage contractor performance, quality standards,budgetsand value for money, ensuring services are delivered safely, efficiently and to agreed expectations.Produceaccuratecompliance, KPI, risk and performance reporting for senior leaders and governance forums, using data toidentifyissues, explain trends, evidenceassuranceand drive improvement.Maintain clear policies,recordsand digital compliance systems, including building safety information and Damp,Mouldand Condensation arrangements, so assurance is robust and servicesremainlegally compliant.About youWerelooking for someone with strong technical knowledge, soundjudgementand a practical, people-focused approach.Youllbe confident working in a regulated or compliance-led environment,and able to turn complex requirements into clear actions, reliableassuranceandmeaningfulservice improvements.Youllbring:A recognised health and safety qualification, or equivalent training and experience (NEBOSH National General Certificate, IOSH Level 3 or equivalent would be desirable).Experience of property compliance, health and safety management, performancereportingand customer-facing services in a regulated environment.A strong understanding of landlord compliance responsibilities, ideally gained in social housing, propertyservicesor a similar setting.The ability to lead with confidence, motivate and developemployees, manage competingprioritiesand influence colleagues,contractorsand stakeholders in a constructive and collaborative way.Strong analytical,digitaland reporting skills, including the ability to use compliance systems, Microsoft365and Excel to manage data, budgets,risksand performance accurately and securely.Personal integrity, accountability and a clear commitment to inclusion, wellbeing, customer care, continuousimprovementand safe, high-quality homes.Benefits28 days annual leave (excluding bank holidays, pro-rated for part-time staff)Optionto buy/sell up to 5 days annual leavePrivate health insuranceEmployee discount schemeDefined contributions pension scheme, matched from 4% to 10%Employee Assistance ProgrammeLife assuranceStrong focus on learning,developmentand wellbeingPlus, more when you join!Please note thatBasicDBS clearance isrequiredfor this role.Inclusion and DiversityWe are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace.
