Clinical Support Specialist – Surgical Solutions \n Location: Oxford (field-based – hospital sites) \n Rate: £26.46 per hour \n Contract: 6–12 months \n Hours: 37.5 hours per week \n \n About the Role \n We’re looking for a Clinical Support Specialist to join a dynamic Infection Prevention & Surgical Solutions team, supporting clinical excellence and product adoption across acute hospital settings. \n This is a highly collaborative, field-based role where you will work cross-functionally with Sales, Medical Education, Marketing, and Clinical teams to deliver impactful clinical education, data collection, and customer engagement programmes. \n A key focus will be supporting Normothermia Assessment projects, helping clinical teams improve patient outcomes through evidence-based practice and education. \n \n Key Responsibilities \n\n • Support Normothermia Assessment projects within key accounts, including structured clinical data collection\n, • Deliver clinical education and product training to theatre and ward-based teams, including bedside support\n, • Work under the direction of the National Sales Manager, contributing to both clinical and commercial objectives\n, • Collaborate closely with:\n, • Regional Sales Managers (RSMs)\n, • Territory Business Managers (TBMs)\n, • Medical Education (MedEd) & Medical Partnerships\n, • Portfolio Marketing teams\n, • Deliver education during and after product trials and evaluations, supporting onboarding of new customers and specialties\n, • Provide customer-facing clinical expertise, including responding to queries and leading investigations into complex product-related clinical situations\n, • Support clinical strategy execution, including advisory activities and educational programmes\n, • Apply evidence-based clinical knowledge to drive product adoption and strengthen customer relationships\n, • Contribute to the delivery of Solventum clinical programmes and resources\n\n \n Experience & Qualifications \n\n • Registered healthcare professional (Nurse, ODP, or similar)\n, • Current or recent operating theatre experience (3–5 years in acute care)\n, • Experience supporting surgical and/or anaesthetic procedures\n, • Proven experience delivering clinical education, training, or seminars\n, • Full UK driving licence\n, • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)\n, • Based within commutable distance of Oxford\n, • Previous industry/medical device experience\n, • Exposure to Salesforce or CRM systems (training provided)\n\n \n Skills & Competencies \n\n • Strong clinical expertise in perioperative environments\n, • Ability to train, coach, and educate healthcare professionals effectively\n, • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills\n, • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities\n, • Confident working across cross-functional teams\n, • Competent in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)\n\n \n Why This Role? \n\n • Work with a globally recognised healthcare organisation driving innovation in surgical care\n, • Opportunity to influence clinical best practice and patient outcomes\n, • Highly collaborative role with exposure to clinical, commercial, and education functions\n, • Diverse, hands-on position across multiple hospital environments\n
