Job Description LOD Staffing has openings for Production Team Lead (Cold Warehouse) Location: NE San Antonio Schedule: Must be Flexible / Off most Sundays / 6:30am – Finish (12-14hrs) Compensation: Starting $16/hr Position Overview Production team leaders are responsible for leading and overseeing the efforts of a production team, as well as ensuring that manufacturing of items in a plant are carried out efficiently and with strict adherence to quality standards. • Temperatures may range from 32°ree;F–45°ree;F or lower depending on department, • You must be able to work in this environment for 10-12 hours. Essential Duties & Responsibilities • Work to ensure people and resources are applied in an efficient and effective manner to meet delivery requirements while achieving quality and safety standards, • Ensure that team members follow defined manufacturing procedures and comply with quality requirements, • Takes initiative to continually improve performance and work process through feedback, problem solving and generating new ideas, • Ensure all in-process records are completed in a timely manner, such as daily check lists, etc., • Escalates any quality concerns and segregates any non-conforming materials, • Ensure the team members are aware of day-to-day production targets and goals, • Completes line set-up each morning prior to the team’s arrival, • Manage work order closures and control transactions to ensure yield calculations, traceability, and accuracy, • Monitor change over and/or line set up efficiency, • Packaging quality - verifies weights, best by dates, country of origin and container labels are within specification prior to start of each production run, • Must always understand and follow safety/food safety (SQF) / Good Manufacturing practices (GMP) standards, • Responsible for training operators for products and processes within the local team, • Responsible for daily management and support for the team to achieve operational success, • Consistently promote high standards through personal example and roll out through the team so that each member of the team understands the standards and behaviors expected of them Minimum Qualifications • Graduation from High School or GED., • 2 years’ prior experience in manufacturing, • 6 months of previous supervisory or team lead experience, • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications Preferred Qualifications • Experience and proficiency in using web-based portals, and able to learn proprietary software quickly., • Strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task and ability to exercise independent judgment, • Must be detail-oriented, • Ability to manage performance, recognize issues and problem solve, • Communicates the need for teamwork and leads with kindness, • Ability to delegate responsibilities and provide direction to the team, • Strong orientation toward quality, safety, and continuous improvement, • Demonstrated ability to effectively implement change, • FFT ERP (Measure) knowledge preferred but not required. Work Environment This position is based in a manufacturing/production plant environment that operates on strict production schedules and quality standards. The role is fast-paced and high-stress, requiring the ability to manage multiple priorities, respond to real-time production issues, and meet tight deadlines. Work is performed in cold-temperature environments, with temperatures typically ranging from 32°ree;F to 45°ree;F or lower, depending on department and operational needs. Team Leaders must be able to work in this environment for extended shifts of 10–12 hours, which may include standing, walking, and working on the production floor for the majority of the shift. The environment includes exposure to: • Moving machinery and production equipment, • Noise from production operations, • Food-grade manufacturing conditions requiring strict adherence to GMP, SQF, and safety protocols Physical Requirements • Stand and walk for extended periods (up to 10–12 hours per shift), • Work continuously in cold environments (32°ree;F–45°ree;F or lower), • Frequently use hands and arms for handling, inspecting, and operating equipment, • Occasionally bend, stoop, reach, crouch, or kneel, • Lift, push, or pull up to 25–50 pounds as required, • Function effectively in a high-stress, fast-paced production environment, • Maintain focus and accuracy while managing multiple tasks and competing priorities, • Make sound decisions under time pressure, • Problem-solve quickly and escalate issues appropriately, • Communicate clearly and professionally with team members and leadership, • Lead, coach, and motivate team members while enforcing standards and accountability, • Adapt to frequent changes in production schedules, staffing, and operational demands Company Description Labor On Demand, Inc. d.b.a.
