Job Description Senior Warehouse and Logistics Manager San Antonio, Texas, United States Full Time | Direct Hire Competitive Salary and Benefits Package Paid Time Off | Paid Holidays This position is responsible for the management of all warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, and material movement. The Senior Warehouse and Logistics Manager will serve as the lead for material logistics across the organization. Responsibilities Warehouse & Inventory Management • Manage warehouse and logistics activities across multiple locations., • Manage team deliverables to ensure successful execution of strategic critical success factors related to inventory., • Utilize system improvements and location accuracy to increase overall inventory accuracy., • Create and drive a disciplined FIFO program., • Perform daily reviews of inventory storage and handling activities., • Accountable for daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, and shipping of components and finished products., • Communicate all delays or variances in inbound/outbound freight to appropriate parties., • Manage freight expenses and ensure accurate chargebacks to customers and/or internal cost centers., • Ensure delivery targets are consistently achieved across all business units through strong process execution., • Report daily delivery execution and perform root cause analysis for late shipments., • Ensure execution of daily equipment check sheets for forklifts and electric pallet trucks., • Develop and support corporate security and safety policies to maintain a safe working environment., • Ensure all forklift operators and drivers are properly authorized and trained., • Actively support Critical Success Factors related to material flow and delivery., • Drive the “Place for Every Part” 6S system on the plant floor., • Develop job descriptions, training plans, evaluations, coaching, and performance counseling for warehouse and materials teams., • Oversee compliance with IATA and IMDG shipping requirements., • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, hazardous materials handling, and environmental standards., • Develop and manage departmental budgets, forecasts, and cost-saving initiatives., • Recruit, train, and mentor warehouse and logistics personnel to build a high-performing team., • Develop and track KPIs including inventory accuracy, order fulfillment rates, and warehouse efficiency. Qualifications Education • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or a related field., • MBA or advanced degree preferred., • 8+ years of experience managing shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment., • Proficiency with logistics software, ERP systems (SAP, Oracle), and WMS platforms; JD Edwards E-One preferred., • Strong supervisory, communication, analytical, and decision-making skills., • Excellent interpersonal, team-building, and influencing abilities., • Knowledge of inventory planning methods, root cause analysis, ABC logic, fixed and random location systems, and logistics., • Lean Six Sigma experience a plus., • Experience leading and sustaining 6S programs.
