They take spaces from plain to paradise with their state-of-the-art designs and superior installation teams. Currently, there is an opening for an Accountant position to our team. This position is in the corporate office at 7481 SW Jack James Drive, Stuart Florida, and reports to the Vice President of Administration. Work hours are 8am to 5pm Monday through Friday. Occasional overtime work may be needed if situations arise that need immediate attention. Position Summary The Accountant supports the full financial life cycle of company projects, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across all accounting functions. This role is responsible for job setup, invoicing, bank and credit card reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable management, and month-end close processes. The specialist reviews and maintains accurate job cost data, prepares profitability and commission reports, and assists leadership with financial performance tracking. Additional responsibilities include monitoring cash flow, maintaining compliance documentation, and managing customer billing requests and lien releases. This position plays a key role in process improvement, implementing structured AR collection procedures, and enhancing communication between departments, vendors, and customers. The Accountant position ensures timely, error-free financial reporting that supports strategic decision-making and operational excellence. Role and Responsibilities Essential Duties: · Set up new jobs and change orders in Sage Intacct to ensure recording, tracking of job progress for accurate financial statements. · Manage invoicing for deposits, progress and project payments and follow up with customers and sales representatives on outstanding account receivables. · Setup and process payables, vendor invoices after confirming PO matching or management approval of incoming invoices. · Monitor daily and weekly financial activity including various bank accounts, bill payments, accounts receivable, and credit card uploads. · Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations across all company accounts to support month-end close. Research and resolve any discrepancies found. · Complete monthly close checklist and prepare monthly P&L and balance sheet reports with explanations to variances to prior month, prior year, and/or budget. · Collaborate with outside Accounting firm, Rehmann, on an ongoing basis. · Create job specific P&Ls for calculation of sales commissions related to jobs. Maintain sales tracking spreadsheet on commissions. · Process and reconcile accounts payable, ensuring timely vendor payments and accurate coding to company expense accounts. · Lead AR collections process with consistent follow-up and documentation of customer communications. Escalate problems to management for further action. · Manage and update vendor and customer information in Sage Intacct, maintaining complete and compliant records. · Support preparation of customer billing documents, lien releases, and other required job-related forms. · Deposit funds daily or as needed to maintain cash flow. · Oversee supply purchasing for office and operational needs while controlling expenses. · Provide backup support for general office administration and inventory processes. · Participate in training, process improvement, and special financial projects as assigned. · Ad hoc duties, as assigned by management team. Must demonstrate excellence in: • Associate or Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance required., • 4+ years of progressive experience in accounting or bookkeeping; construction or job-cost environment a plus., • Proficiency in Sage Intacct accounting software; experience with LMN(estimating, job costing system) and Google Workspace preferred., • Strong understanding of general ledger, reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable, and financial reporting., • Solid understanding of job cost accounting, project profitability, and commission reporting., • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet monthly closing deadlines with minimal supervision., • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy., • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with internal teams, vendors, and customers., • Ability to develop and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency and accuracy., • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism in handling financial data., • Proficient in Microsoft Excel with the ability to create and analyze financial spreadsheets., • Organized, dependable, and results-driven with a proactive approach to follow-up and issue resolution. Compensation & Benefits Salary: $65,000 annual salary; payroll is processed every 2 weeks Southwest Greens of Florida provides: • Workflow and company processes, procedures training., • Sage Intacct Accounting Software training along with LMN and Google platforms., • Computer, software, and office setup Benefits 401K plan: Company contributes 3% of annual compensation; eligible to enroll after 12 months.
