Job Description Accounts Payable Supervisor Onsite Role - Manufacturing Global Packaging Container Company located in North Branch is searching for Accounts Payable Supervisor to join our team! The AP Supervisor leads daily accounts payable operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices, freight bills, and payments. This hands-on leadership role overseeing a small Accounts Payable team. The position will actively participate in invoice processing, vendor payment management, and reconciliation tasks while helping coordinate daily AP workflows and maintain strong financial controls. The ideal candidate has experience working in high-volume AP environments and is comfortable operating within structured financial systems such as SAP. Duties and Responsibilities: • Manage high-volume vendor invoices, including freight and raw materials. Ensure strict three-way matching (purchase order, goods receipt, invoice) and proper cost coding within SAP., • Execute payment runs (ACH, wire, check) in SAP, with particular focus on payment terms., • Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies, vendor inquiries, and payment issues., • Oversee the creation and maintenance of vendor records in SAP to ensure accurate tax reporting (1099s) and payment details., • Month-end close responsibilities include: Reconcile AP sub-ledger to the general ledger, reconcile intercompany AP accounts, resolve GR/IR discrepancies, and reporting., • Drive automation (OCR invoice processing) and improve SAP workflows to reduce processing times and error rates., • Supervise, train, and mentor AP staff, conducting performance reviews and assigning tasks to balance workload., • Other duties / ad hoc requests as assigned Required Experience/Skills: • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred., • 5+ years of Accounts Payable experience, with at least 2+ years in a supervisory or senior capacity, preferably in manufacturing., • Knowledge of SAP, preferred, • Proactive and work with a sense of urgency with minimal supervision, • Highly detailed oriented and organized, • Clear written and verbal communication, • Problem-solving mindset with process improvement focus, • Strong collaboration across departments, • Strong PC skills with knowledge of Excel, • Background in manufacturing, preferred Company DescriptionSchuetz Container Systems is a world-class leader in the manufacturing of industrial containers across multiple business lines.
