Job Description The Department of Mathematics, Statistics, and Computer Science at Augsburg University invites applications for adjunct faculty positions to teach introductory courses in mathematics. Responsibilities include teaching one or two sections of introductory courses in mathetmatics, such as • Finite Mathematics (for Business students), • Mathematics in Society, • Mathematics for Elementary Teachers, • Discrete Mathematics, • Precalculus Available courses vary by term. Most classes are held during the day, 2-3 days per week. In addition to teaching the class and grading student work, instructors are expected to respond to student questions through email, hold regularly scheduled office hours, reach out to students with course progress information, and communicate regularly with the course coordinator. A course syllabus with calendar, textbook and homework selection, sample activities and exams, and shared office space are typically provided. This individual will be a point person for mental performance teamwork services for a select number of teams at the university (e.g. 2-3 teams) and expected to work closely as a member of a multidisciplinary medical team comprised of team physicians, orthopedic surgeons, PTs, psychiatrists, certified athletic trainers and sport dietitians. The individual will provide team consultation as needed and facilitate outreach about psychological skills that enhance well-being and performance. The individual will build and nurture strong relationships with clients and referral sources at PSP and in the university environment, as well as maintain timely clinical records of therapeutic and other client contact and adhere to both Minnesota and federal laws. Premier Sport Psychology is currently seeking qualified candidates with demonstrated experience and expertise serving youth and young adult athletes, as well as collegiate student-athletes, who come from a wide range of different backgrounds. This position requires frequent evening hours and occasional weekend duties, in order to best meet the needs of youth athletes ages 8 17yo and the requests of collegiate athletic departments.
