Job DescriptionDescription: Painter Job Type: Full-Time | Onsite Pay: Competitive hourly rate + commission opportunities Bring Color to Communities—and Grow With Us At CAF Management, Painters play a key role in keeping our apartment communities looking fresh, clean, and move-in ready. From apartment turns to common area touch-ups, you’ll help maintain the quality and curb appeal our residents expect—while supporting the maintenance team with light general repairs as needed. This role is ideal for someone with painting experience who takes pride in clean lines, attention to detail, and consistent quality—and wants to grow with a company that promotes from within. What You’ll Do • Paint vacant apartments, occupied units (as needed), and common areas, • Prep surfaces including patching drywall, sanding, caulking, and priming, • Match paint colors and finishes to property standards, • Perform touch-ups and detailed paint work during apartment turns, • Assist with light general maintenance tasks as needed (minor repairs, hardware replacement, basic carpentry support), • Support curb appeal projects and community refresh initiatives, • Maintain clean, organized work areas and properly store tools and materials, • Communicate with the Maintenance Supervisor or Property Manager regarding timelines and supply needs, • Ensure all work is completed safely, professionally, and in compliance with Fair Housing standards What You’ll Need to Succeed Required: • Hands-on painting experience in apartments, residential, or commercial settings, • Knowledge of surface prep, rolling, brushing, and spray techniques, • Strong attention to detail and pride in finished work, • Ability to manage time efficiently and meet turn deadlines, • Availability to work Saturdays (closed Sundays) and maintain a flexible weekday schedule, • Experience with apartment make-readies or renovations, • Basic maintenance or handyman experience, • Familiarity with Entrata or similar property management systems, • Bilingual abilities What You’ll Get CAF offers one of the most competitive benefits packages in the industry—because we believe when we take care of you, you can take care of everything else. • Commission opportunities based on performance, • 14 Paid Holidays (including CAF Impact Day), • PTO based on tenure:, • 0–4 years: 15 days, • 5–9 years: 20 days, • 10–14 years: 25 days, • 15+ years: 30 days, • 3 Flex Days per year, • Medical, Dental & Vision (employee medical starts at $65/month), • 401(k) + Roth IRA with company contributions (after 6 months), • Paid Parental Leave (10 days), • 30–50% Employee Housing Discount (after 30 days, if applicable), • Recognition programs and a people-first culture Grow With a Company That Invests in You Many of our maintenance team members started in specialized roles like painting and grew into broader maintenance or leadership positions. Physical Requirements This role requires frequent physical labor and movement throughout the apartment community.
