Job DescriptionJob Title: Assembler Job Description This role performs complex mechanical assembly of components and subassemblies on a production line, ensuring products meet detailed technical specifications and quality standards. You will interpret blueprints and schematics, troubleshoot assembly issues, support and coach junior assemblers, and contribute to continuous improvement in a modern, state-of-the-art manufacturing environment. Responsibilities • Execute complex assembly tasks, including advanced mechanical assembly of components and subassemblies on production and assembly lines., • Read and interpret detailed blueprints, engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications to ensure accurate assembly of parts and products., • Perform advanced troubleshooting and diagnostics to identify and resolve issues in assembly processes and product functionality., • Coach, train, and mentor lower-level assemblers, providing guidance on techniques, safety procedures, and quality standards., • Ensure the team adheres to all safety procedures, regulatory requirements, and company compliance standards., • Continuously review assembly processes and recommend improvements to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and support lean manufacturing initiatives., • Collaborate with engineers, designers, and other departments to resolve design or manufacturing issues affecting assembly., • Perform final quality inspections and testing to verify that assembled products meet company standards and specifications., • Maintain inventory of parts and materials required for assembly and ensure stock levels remain optimal for production needs., • Assist with setup, calibration, and operation of automated or semi-automated equipment used in the assembly process., • Follow lean manufacturing guidelines and actively provide continuous improvement suggestions., • Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to assemble parts consistently with a low error rate., • Work productively in a general production and assembly line environment, meeting production deadlines without compromising quality., • Comply with all requirements related to personal protective equipment and safe use of ladders, tools, and equipment., • Lift and move materials up to 35 pounds and perform tasks that require standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing portable ladders.Essential Skills, • At least 2–5 years of experience in assembly or manufacturing roles, including experience in leadership or team supervision., • Hands-on experience working on an assembly line in a production environment., • Mechanical assembly experience with both small and larger parts., • Ability to read and interpret complex technical documents, including engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications., • Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in assembly and production processes., • Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools to assemble parts consistently with a low rate of error., • Strong knowledge of quality control processes and manufacturing best practices., • Ability to train, coach, and mentor junior team members and contribute to team development., • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with engineers, designers, and cross-functional teams., • Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines while maintaining high quality standards., • Good manual dexterity, including hand, hand-with-arm, and two-hand coordination, and multi-limb coordination., • Ability to lift and move up to 35 pounds and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing portable ladders., • Willingness to use required personal protective equipment and follow all safety guidelines.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Experience supporting or supervising a team in a manufacturing or assembly environment., • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement practices., • Experience working with automated or semi-automated assembly equipment., • Comfort working in a fast-growing, dynamic environment that values an entrepreneurial mindset., • Ability to adapt to process changes and contribute ideas to improve efficiency and reduce waste.Why Work Here? Work Environment This role is based in a modern, state-of-the-art, air-conditioned manufacturing facility equipped with industry 4.0 technology. Standard hours are Monday through Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (four 10-hour shifts), with the possibility of occasional overtime, including some Fridays and Saturdays, as production needs require. The environment is a general production and assembly line setting that uses hand tools, power tools, and automated or semi-automated assembly equipment. The position requires regular standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing portable ladders, as well as the ability to lift and move up to 35 pounds. Personal protective equipment is required and provided, and safety practices are a core part of daily operations. The facility supports a collaborative, team-oriented atmosphere and includes on-site electric charging stations. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mesa, AZ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
