About the Role Were looking for a Ironworker Foreman that will supervise and lead an ironworker crew in the field to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with project specifications. This role requires a proactive leader with deep knowledge of steel erection methods, a commitment to safety and quality, and the ability to communicate effectively across teams. The Ironworker Foreman plays a key role in bridging field operations with the fabrication shop, supporting workflow optimization and continuous improvement. Core Responsibilities • Field Leadership and Crew Management, • Supervise daily activities of ironworker crews to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to project requirements., • Provide hands-on direction and coaching to team members, supporting their professional development and reinforcing RNGD expectations., • Troubleshoot challenges in the field, implementing solutions to maintain quality and schedule adherence., • Maintain accurate documentation including safety logs, daily reports, and progress updates., • Safety Management and Compliance, • Enforce strict adherence to RNGD safety protocols and OSHA regulations., • Conduct regular site inspections, safety meetings, and behavioral observations to ensure safe execution of all tasks., • Identify hazardous conditions and initiate corrective actions immediately., • Quality Control and Technical Execution, • Inspect completed work for alignment, fit, weld prep, and full compliance with drawings and specifications., • Ensure all ironworker tasks meet RNGDs standards for precision, craftsmanship, and durability., • Collaborate with the fabrication shop to communicate fit-up preferences, field challenges, and adjustments that improve install efficiency., • Project Coordination and Communication, • Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, and site supervisors to align on schedules, manpower, and material needs., • Foster strong communication with fabrication teams to ensure smooth transitions between shop production and field installation., • Cultivate relationships with project stakeholders by providing timely updates, raising concerns, and offering solutions., • Technology and Documentation, • Utilize iPads, Procore, and Microsoft Office tools to track productivity, submit reports, access drawings, and communicate with office personnel., • Ensure accurate, timely entry of field documentation and compliance-related records. Preferred Qualifications • Proven experience as an Ironworker Foreman or similar supervisory role in steel construction., • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams, enforce expectations, and drive high-quality work., • In-depth knowledge of structural steel erection processes, rigging, tools, and equipment., • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications., • Proficiency with digital tools such as iPads, Procore, and Microsoft Office., • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to coordinate across teams., • Strong commitment to safety, including continuous education in OSHA standards and industry best practices., • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certifications preferred.
