Job DescriptionJob Title: Project Manager Job Description This role involves managing the installation of HVAC and Plumbing systems, ensuring they meet code requirements, stay within budget, and are installed on time. The role requires managing multiple projects, including new and existing commercial and institutional HVAC projects such as schools, laboratories, offices, university facilities, and public buildings. Responsibilities • Manage multiple mechanical projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and budget-compliant installation., • Negotiate and prepare vendor and subcontractor purchase orders., • Evaluate submittals to ensure they reflect contract drawings and specifications., • Order and arrange the delivery of necessary materials., • Prepare and monitor project schedules using Microsoft Project., • Control project costs and schedules., • Identify and prepare change orders as needed., • Maintain construction quality while completing multiple projects concurrently., • Build and maintain strong customer relations with general contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and internal customers., • Evaluate and develop field personnel, including workers and foremen., • Maintain a safe and secure work environment., • Exercise independent judgment and initiative in performing assigned duties., • Represent the company in project meetings, strategy sessions, inspections, and scheduling sessions as required., • Approve subcontractor and supplier invoices for payment., • Prepare accurate and timely requests for payment., • Monitor construction in cooperation with on-site supervision to ensure the project is built on schedule, safely, and within budget., • Investigate potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures., • Initiate and maintain communications with clients to facilitate construction activities., • Manage the financial aspects of the contract, including billings, rentals, and ensuring warranty compliance., • Complete closeout documentation.Essential Skills, • Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, and Outlook., • Extensive knowledge of HVAC codes and installation practices., • Ability to work independently and efficiently., • Strong communication skills with project team members.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Proficiency with Autodesk Fabrication Products, NavisWorks, and/or Revit is a plus., • Experience with commercial HVAC projects ranging from 5k to 3 million dollars., • Experience with state work and commercial projects.Work Environment This position is within a family-owned company that values a collaborative and safe work environment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Garner, NC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $60.00/hr.
