Your Role: The Metrology Manager will be responsible for establishing, executing, and continuously refining the strategic vision for PSC Biotech' s Metrology division. This senior leadership role will oversee all aspects of Metrology operations across multiple sites, ensuring alignment with corporate goals, industry best practices, and evolving regulatory requirements. The Metrology Manager serves as the primary driver of operational excellence, business growth, and technical innovation within the Metrology function, leading a high-performing team of managers, supervisors, and technical staff. The successful candidate will leverage advanced technical expertise, business acumen, and cross-functional leadership to strengthen departmental capabilities, expand service offerings, and ensure PSC Biotech’s position as a market leader in calibration, instrumentation, and measurement science. This position will be accountable for strategic planning, client relationship development, fiscal management, regulatory compliance, and the integration of advanced metrology technologies to optimize business performance and client satisfaction. The incumbent is also responsible and accountable for the execution of the PSC mission, “to maintain the integrity and professionalism of our products and services while enabling steady growth and development”. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership · Define and execute a long-term strategic plan for PSC Biotech’s Metrology division that drives growth, operational excellence, and competitive differentiation. · Serve as the executive liaison for Metrology with internal leadership, key clients, industry associations, and regulatory bodies. · Lead the expansion of metrology services into new markets, including the development of service capabilities to meet emerging industry trends and customer demands. · Establish strategic partnerships with equipment manufacturers, calibration service providers, and technology innovators. Operational Excellence · Oversee multi-site Metrology operations, ensuring adherence to cGMP, ISO 17025, and other relevant quality standards. · Drive implementation of advanced measurement systems, automation, and data analytics to improve precision, turnaround time, and efficiency. · Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost reduction, process optimization, and quality enhancement. · Ensure all calibration and measurement methodologies meet or exceed regulatory and client requirements, while proactively adapting to changes in standards. Business & Financial Management · Develop and manage annual division budgets, ensuring resource optimization and year-over-year financial improvement. · Collaborate with the business development team to expand revenue opportunities through new service offerings, proposal development, and strategic client acquisition. · Negotiate large-scale contracts, renewals, and service agreements to maximize profitability and long-term client value. People Leadership · Build and sustain a high-performance team culture, fostering leadership development, technical expertise, and employee engagement. · Mentor managers and supervisors to strengthen operational management, client service delivery, and leadership capabilities. · Lead organizational design for the Metrology function to support scalability, agility, and innovation. Compliance & Accreditation · Oversee attainment and maintenance of ISO 17025 accreditation, leading audits and implementing necessary enhancements. · Ensure compliance with OSHA, CalOSHA, FDA, and other applicable regulatory frameworks. · Establish governance frameworks for calibration standards, SOPs, and documentation across all operations. Innovation & Industry Influence · Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies such as IoT-enabled metrology tools, predictive maintenance systems, and AI-based data analytics. · Represent PSC Biotech at industry conferences, technical forums, and regulatory workshops to influence metrology standards and build brand recognition. · Lead strategic initiatives to differentiate PSC Biotech through proprietary calibration methods, advanced service capabilities, and technical thought leadership. Requirements • Demonstrated success in managing multi-site operations and leading diverse, cross-functional teams., • Proven track record of achieving ISO 17025 accreditation and maintaining compliance across multiple sites., • Strong business development experience, including proposal generation, contract negotiation, and strategic client acquisition., • Advanced technical expertise in calibration science, measurement system analysis, and statistical process control., • Experience introducing innovative technologies and methodologies into metrology operations., • Ability to travel to client sites, industry events, and PSC Biotech/BioTechnique facilities as needed. The offered salary may be adjusted based on various factors such as the applicant's qualifications, skills, and professional experience.
