Job DescriptionDescription: Location: Next Larimer County at Front Range Community College, Fort Collins, CO Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 8:30 AM–4:30 PM Position Dates: January 6 – May 12, 2025 (with option to continue in our Guest Teacher Pool) Who We Are Zero Dropouts is dedicated to designing innovative student development opportunities in collaboration with school districts, communities, and students. For the spring semester, you will provide consistent on-site instructional support at our Fort Collins location from January 6–May 12, with the option to continue in our Guest Teacher Pool afterward. We’re seeking someone who can: • Provide direct classroom instruction in Language Arts, • Support individual and small-group learning across content areas Key Responsibilities • Provide direct classroom instruction in Language Arts, supporting students’ literacy development and readiness for GED Language Arts assessments., • Support students in all content areas as needed through tutoring, small-group instruction, and/or assisting the other classroom teacher., • Maintain a supportive, relationship-centered learning environment that promotes engagement, belonging, and academic confidence., • Administer GED Ready practice tests and follow all required testing protocols., • Engage in supportive outreach when students are absent, maintain communication with students and their contacts, and help connect learners to resources or staff who can address barriers to attendance, engagement, and learning., • Accurately complete required data entry, including attendance, test scores, progress notes, and contact logs, to support program alignment and student tracking., • Provide direct classroom instruction in Language Arts, supporting students’ literacy development and readiness for GED Language Arts assessments., • Support students in all content areas as needed through tutoring, small-group instruction, and/or assisting the other classroom teacher., • Maintain a supportive, relationship-centered learning environment that promotes engagement, belonging, and academic confidence., • Administer GED Ready practice tests and follow all required testing protocols., • Engage in supportive outreach when students are absent, maintain communication with students and their contacts, and help connect learners to resources or staff who can address barriers to attendance, engagement, and learning., • Accurately complete required data entry, including attendance, test scores, progress notes, and contact logs, to support program alignment and student tracking., • Bachelor’s degree, • Experience teaching or tutoring Literacy/Language Arts, • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, • Ability to support diverse learners and adapt to varying academic needs, • Empathy and understanding when working with students facing barriers or challenges, • Experience working with adolescents or young adults in an educational or youth-development setting, • Current Colorado Teacher License, • Familiarity with GED testing processes This is a non-exempt position with an hourly rate of $23.50/hour
