Job Description Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic Job Description We are seeking a skilled bilingual Maintenance Mechanic for our 2nd shift in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will have the skills and knowledge to immediately contribute to our team. Responsibilities include routine electrical and mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting electrical and mechanical components on various manufacturing equipment, and designing and building auxiliary equipment for the manufacturing process. Responsibilities • Troubleshoot electrical systems from three-phase 208V to millivolt control circuits., • Repair mechanical and pneumatic equipment., • Read and understand European electrical prints and drawings., • Troubleshoot and adjust equipment while it is running, identifying potential hazards., • Plan and perform work requiring knowledge of electrical and mechanical theories, writing specifications, and properties of materials., • Install, start-up, and shut down equipment per company safety procedures and OSHA requirements., • Advise operators on safe operation procedures for mechanical and pneumatic equipment., • Inform management of potential electrical or mechanical problems and inherent dangers., • Maintain performance and maintenance records for identified equipment., • Perform preventative maintenance functions as directed., • Set up production tooling and perform quality audits., • Provide and collect materials, equipment, and trash including pallets and boxes., • Assist production with installing paper rolls onto machines as needed., • Organize completed pallets in the warehouse, ensuring proper placement to prevent damage., • Maintain tools, equipment, and shop areas to ensure their availability and functionality., • Inspect operating machines and equipment for conformance with operational standards., • Complete required documentation related to business or regulatory requirements., • Ensure employees maintain records of analysis and certification., • Develop a rewarding workplace for all employees., • Identify and support continuous improvement efforts with the Plant Manager., • Follow documented policies and procedures as per the company's quality system., • Assist in integrating HAACP and sampling procedures in loading and packaging areas., • Excellent verbal and written communication skills., • Bilingual in English and Spanish or Italian preferred., • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with a positive attitude., • Electromechanical training programs with 2+ years in electrical, mechanical, pneumatics, PLC programming, troubleshooting, and repair., • Or, 5+ years of experience in an industrial setting with similar work experience., • Forklift and manlift training and certification., • Lockout/Tagout, rigging, and lifting skills., • Ability to meet company attendance and punctuality standards., • Strong problem-solving and analysis skills., • Ability to manage complexity and resolve conflicts. The team consists of approximately 45 employees, including 3 mechanics and 5 utilities. Work hours for the 2nd shift are 2pm-10pm (Mon-Fri) with occasional Saturdays for preventive maintenance or special projects. Overtime may be required as needed. Our work environment follows GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices) and requires the use of PPE, which we provide, ensuring safety and comfort. Employees must be able to regularly lift/move up to 60 lbs and occasionally lift/move up to 90 lbs, and work around noise, humidity, and dust. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Moorestown, NJ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
